What are the symptoms of liver cancer? What are the clinical symptoms of liver cancer?

When it comes to liver cancer, the first thing that comes to mind is pain in the liver area, jaundice, abdominal distension, and weight loss. In fact, due to the powerful metabolic function of the liver, the manifestations of liver cancer are diverse and easy to be ignored. If you have repeated dull pain and discomfort in your right shoulder, and it does not get better after appropriate treatment, you should also check your liver for lesions in time to rule out the possibility of hidden liver cancer, especially for people with a history of hepatitis.

The pain of the skin is often at the site of skin injury, but the pain caused by visceral lesions is not as accurate as the skin on the body surface, and often manifests as reflex pain or referred pain, and the pain site is not the site of the lesion. The pain in the right shoulder caused by liver cancer is referred pain, which may be caused by liver cancer compressing the diaphragm of the appendages or the muscle nerves below the lungs.

The liver is located in the upper abdomen. There are no early signs of liver cancer. When the liver tumor gradually grows, it may compress the nearby diaphragm and the muscle nerves below the lungs. These compressed nerves happen to be the nerves connected to the right shoulder, which will cause right shoulder pain. Therefore, when there is recurring right shoulder pain, and the symptoms do not improve after appropriate treatment, it is necessary to check the liver in time to rule out the existence of lesions.

Here we would like to remind patients with a history of hepatitis that if they have recurrent right shoulder pain, they should not take it lightly and "self-diagnose" it as frozen shoulder. They should have alpha-fetoprotein and ultrasound examinations in time, and enhanced CT or MR examinations when necessary.

Symptoms of liver cancer

1. The clinical manifestations of liver cancer are very atypical. Some patients may seek medical treatment with prominent symptoms such as high fever, jaundice, and acute abdomen, and some even come to the hospital with symptoms caused by metastatic lesions.

2. Low fever is a clinical symptom of liver cancer, often with unexplained causes.

3. Patients with cirrhosis of the liver with liver cancer may also experience clinical manifestations such as nose bleeding, bleeding gums, and liver cancer.

4. Pain in the right upper abdomen, mainly with persistent dull pain in the liver area, especially at night and after fatigue.

5. Clinical manifestations of liver cancer include loss of appetite, abdominal distension and discomfort that worsens after meals, fatigue, and weight loss.

Symptoms of advanced liver cancer

1. Weight loss and fatigue

Symptoms of liver cancer in the late stage are more obvious, and weight loss and fatigue are one of them. The liver is an important digestive gland and nutrient metabolism organ in the human body. Decreased liver function often leads to metabolic disorders of nutrients, toxins, etc. Liver cancer patients often feel more fatigued than other tumor patients, which is similar to patients with chronic hepatitis.

2. Pain in the liver area

Liver pain is a common symptom of advanced liver cancer, accounting for more than 50%. Liver cancer will present with various symptoms in the late stage. The nature and characteristics of liver pain vary according to the location of the liver lesions.

3. Digestive tract symptoms

Symptoms of late-stage liver cancer include decreased appetite, upper abdominal fullness after meals, belching, indigestion, nausea, diarrhea, etc., among which decreased appetite and abdominal distension are the most common.
