What to eat to prevent liver cancer? Eating these often reduces the risk of liver cancer

Can eating almonds and peanuts prevent liver cancer? According to the latest report from the British Daily Mail, a new study published in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute of the United States found that eating foods rich in vitamin E such as almonds, peanuts and dried apricots can help prevent liver cancer.

Dr. Zhang Wei of the Shanghai Cancer Research Institute analyzed the data of 132,837 participants, including 267 liver cancer patients. Dr. Zhang collected the participants' dietary habits and compared the liver cancer risk of participants who consumed a lot of vitamin E with those who did not.

Dr. Zhang said that the new research results found that the intake of vitamin E is inversely proportional to the risk of liver cancer. Participants who took large amounts of vitamin E supplements or often ate snacks such as almonds, peanuts, pine nuts and dried apricots had a lower risk of liver cancer in middle-aged and elderly people. This new study shows that consuming large amounts of vitamin E through diet or supplements can help reduce the risk of liver cancer in middle-aged and elderly people.

Liver cancer is the third leading cause of cancer death worldwide, the fifth most common cancer in men and the seventh most common cancer in women. About 85% of liver cancer cases occur in developing countries. China accounts for 54% of the global liver cancer cases.
