Does eating raw soy sauce have a risk of liver cancer? 6 tips to relieve liver cancer pain

Rice, oil, salt, soy sauce, vinegar and tea, these essential condiments of life are always available in our kitchen. Recently, a survey found that the consumption of soy sauce is directly related to liver cancer, and eating soy sauce raw may cause liver cancer.

Why eating raw soy sauce may cause liver cancer risk

Soy sauce is a liquid condiment made from beans, wheat and bran. It is reddish brown in color, has a unique aroma, tastes delicious, and helps stimulate appetite. It is a traditional Chinese condiment.

It is generally believed that the main raw material of soy sauce is soybeans, and soybeans and their products have anti-cancer effects because they are rich in minerals such as selenium. However, it is worth noting that during the production, storage, transportation and sales of soy sauce, it is often contaminated due to poor sanitary conditions and may even carry pathogenic bacteria that cause intestinal infectious diseases. The problem of bulk soy sauce is more obvious.

Experiments have shown that typhoid bacilli can survive in soy sauce for two days, and halophilic bacteria can survive in soy sauce for a long time. In turbid, precipitated, and impure soy sauce, the number of bacteria will be more than 100 times higher than the standard. If such soy sauce is consumed directly without heating and disinfection, it may cause illness.

In addition, researchers have found carcinogens in soy sauce. Epidemiological experts in Taiwan have found that soy sauce consumption is directly related to liver cancer. This is because during the fermentation process of soy sauce, protein decomposes and produces a large amount of amine substances, which will synthesize carcinogenic nitrosamines in the presence of nitrite.

Common symptoms and complications of liver cancer in the middle stage:

1. Upper gastrointestinal bleeding. It accounts for about 15% of the causes of death. Liver cancer is often accompanied by liver cirrhosis and portal hypertension. Portal vein and hepatic vein tumor thrombus further aggravate portal hypertension, which often causes rupture and bleeding of varicose veins in the middle and lower esophagus or gastric fundus. If hepatocellular carcinoma invades the bile duct, it can cause bile duct bleeding, which also manifests as vomiting blood and black blood. Some patients may bleed extensively due to intestinal mucosal erosion, ulcers, and coagulation disorders. Massive bleeding can cause shock and hepatic coma.

2. Hepatic coma (hepatic encephalopathy). It accounts for about one-third of the causes of death and is often a manifestation of terminal liver cancer. Gastrointestinal bleeding, secondary infection, electrolyte imbalance and large amounts of diuretics can often induce hepatic coma.

3. Rupture and bleeding of liver cancer nodules. About 10% of liver cancer patients die from rupture of cancer nodules. Severe complications are the most urgent for liver cancer. Necrotic liquefaction in the late stage of liver cancer can rupture spontaneously or due to external force. Therefore, the technique should be gentle during palpation, and do not press hard. Rupture of cancer nodules can be limited to the liver capsule, with sudden pain, rapid enlargement of the liver, and soft masses can be felt locally. If it ruptures into the abdominal cavity, it will cause acute abdominal pain and peritoneal irritation. A small amount of bleeding will manifest as bloody ascites, and a large amount of bleeding can cause shock or even rapid death. 4. Secondary infection: Primary liver cancer patients have weakened resistance due to long-term consumption and bed rest. Especially after chemotherapy or radiotherapy, when the white blood cell count decreases, they are prone to various infections, sepsis, fungal infections, such as pneumonia, intestinal infections, etc.
