Lung cancer patients often need surgery, but if they want to have a good recovery after surgery, they need postoperative care. For example, they need to rest; monitor blood pressure, breathing, heart rate and pulse; keep the airway open; test blood oxygen saturation; infuse fluids to maintain body fluid balance; observe and care for the chest cavity; and maintain low-flow oxygen input. Lung cancer is a malignant tumor of the lungs. It can be caused by many factors, including smoking, occupational exposure, air pollution, radiation, genetics, lung diseases, etc. For the treatment of lung cancer, surgery is the preferred method. However, after surgery, if the patient wants to have a better and faster recovery, the following care measures must be taken. 1. Lung cancer patients need to undergo whole body paralysis before surgery, so after waking up from the operation, the patient should remain in the supine position to rest. 2. The patient's condition should be monitored regularly, including breathing, pulse, heart rate, blood pressure, etc. If the patient is found to have difficulty breathing, rapid pulse, high or low blood pressure, the doctor should be notified in time. 3. Keep the patient's airway open. After the operation, the patient should be intubated in order to suction the sputum. 4. The patient's blood oxygen saturation should be tested regularly, and the oxygen supply method and concentration should be adjusted in real time according to the blood oxygen saturation level in the body. 5. Keep the patient's closed chest drainage unobstructed. 6. Patients need intravenous infusion after surgery to maintain the body's internal fluid balance. However, it should be noted that if the patient has had a lung lobe removed, the infusion speed must be maintained at a slower rate. 7. Lung cancer patients may experience intrathoracic bleeding after surgery, so chest observation and care should be done after surgery. 8. For patients who have undergone total lung resection, low-flow oxygen input should be maintained for several days after the operation, and they should cooperate with the doctor to exhaust when necessary. 9. Patients can do moderate bed exercises within 2 days after the operation, and can do moderate exercises outside the bed after 2 days, and gradually increase the amount of activity according to the recovery situation. 10. Some patients still need radiotherapy or chemotherapy after surgery, so the precautions must be explained to the patients. The above 10 points are mainly about the postoperative care of lung cancer patients. Doing the above 10 points well is very helpful for the postoperative recovery of lung cancer patients. In addition, some lung cancer patients still need chemotherapy after surgery. Therefore, in order to better cope with chemotherapy and reduce side effects, patients need to eat more nutritious foods that can enhance their body's resistance. |
