What are the symptoms of lung cancer? Typical clinical symptoms of lung cancer

Nowadays, the economy is developing rapidly, but some environmental sanitation and other problems are becoming more and more serious. Many people will suffer from various diseases. Lung cancer is one of the diseases with a gradually increasing incidence. Many people also know the seriousness of this disease, but because they do not understand the symptoms of the disease, they cannot achieve early detection and early treatment, resulting in missing the best time for treatment. Next, let me tell you about the symptoms of lung cancer.

The most common symptoms of early lung cancer are:

1. Cough, mostly irritating dry cough, no sputum or a small amount of white sticky sputum, especially for long-term heavy smokers over 40 years old, if there is no obvious cause of irritating dry cough lasting 2-3 weeks, treatment is ineffective, or there are chronic respiratory diseases, the nature of the cough has changed, so be vigilant;

2. Hemoptysis, usually bloody sputum or sputum with blood;

3. Lung cancer often causes mild chest tightness in the early stages. If it involves the parietal pleura or directly invades the chest wall, it can cause persistent pain in that area. It should be emphasized that there are no specific symptoms in the early stages of lung cancer. Any respiratory symptoms that are not cured for more than 2 weeks or worsening of the original symptoms should alert you to the possibility of lung cancer.

Typical symptoms of lung cancer include:

1. Cough, mostly irritating dry cough, no sputum or a small amount of white sticky sputum;

2. Hemoptysis, usually bloody sputum or sputum with blood;

3. Chest pain. If lung cancer involves the parietal pleura or directly invades the chest wall, it can cause persistent pain in that area.

4. Fever. Fever in lung cancer is usually persistent low-grade fever, which lasts for a long time and recurs repeatedly.

5. Chest tightness and shortness of breath. The growth of tumors in the trachea directly causes tracheal stenosis or compresses the main bronchus. When the tumor metastasizes to the pleura and produces a large amount of pleural effusion, it can also cause chest tightness and shortness of breath.

Common symptoms of advanced lung cancer include:

1. Chest pain. Most patients with lung cancer that has regional intrathoracic metastasis have symptoms of chest pain.

2. Difficulty breathing and shortness of breath. Difficulty breathing occurs when the tumor compresses the large airways or produces a large amount of pleural effusion;

3. Edema of the face and neck. If the tumor invades the right side of the mediastinum and compresses the superior vena cava, the return of the superior vena cava will be blocked, causing congestion and varicose veins in the face, neck, and upper limbs.

4. Hoarseness. The tumor directly invades the recurrent laryngeal nerve or metastasizes to the mediastinal lymph nodes, thereby compressing the recurrent laryngeal nerve, which can cause hoarseness.

5. Weight loss and emaciation are one of the most common symptoms of advanced malignant tumors. In advanced patients, due to tumor toxins and consumption, combined with infection, pain, etc., the loss of appetite can cause emaciation or cachexia;

6. Symptoms caused by distant metastasis of lung cancer, such as bone metastasis pain, headache, dizziness, weakness on one side of the limbs caused by brain metastasis, etc.

After reading the introduction, I believe many people know these symptoms, but we should not just stop at knowing them. We should do more self-examinations. If we really find that our body has symptoms similar to lung cancer, we should be alert and go to the hospital for examination as soon as possible. If we are really diagnosed with such a disease, we don’t have to worry too much. Maintaining a positive and optimistic attitude is the key to curing the disease. Finally, I wish you a speedy recovery.
