What should I pay attention to in my diet after radiotherapy for nasopharyngeal carcinoma

What should I pay attention to in my diet after radiotherapy for nasopharyngeal carcinoma?

1. Do not eat high-iodine foods. Nasopharyngeal cancer patients eat seafood, such as crabs, shrimps, scaleless fish, kelp, etc., including iodine foods and iodized salt, and the tumor will rupture. Iodine is widely present in seawater. Iodine can promote the dissolution of soft tissues, has a phlegm-resolving effect, is beneficial to benign tumors and vascular sclerosis, but avoids hemorrhagic diseases and cancer. Cancer patients should buy iodine-free salt.

2. The diet for nasopharyngeal cancer should follow the principle of "three highs and one low". "Three highs and one low" refers to foods that are high in protein, calories, and vitamins, and "one low" refers to low fat, so you can eat more lean meat, soy products, seafood, fresh fruits and vegetables such as apples, oranges, bananas, grapefruits, oranges, oranges, dragon fruit, kiwis, mangosteens, and pineapples.

3. The diet mainly focuses on a balanced diet, including meat products such as chicken, duck, fish, vegetables, and fruits. It is to ensure the intake of vitamins, which are some normal nutrients required by the human body, and to achieve a balanced diet for three meals a day.

Can people with uric acid and gout smoke?

Smoking is not recommended for gout patients. It is a well-known fact that smoking is harmful to health and causes cancer. Many studies believe that smoking is the main risk factor for many cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. Long-term smoking can also damage the blood vessels in the bronchial mucosa and affect the cilia removal function, which is a risk factor for chronic bronchitis, emphysema and chronic airway obstruction. Smoking does not have a particularly large impact on gout itself, but because smoking is harmful to human health, many gout patients also have coronary heart disease, atherosclerosis, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, hyperglycemia, etc.

Patients with hyperuricemia and gout must pay attention to quitting smoking and drinking, which will reduce the onset of gout.
