Tear groove filling effect

Tear groove filling effect

The tear trough is the area next to the eye. If it is too sunken, it will be more noticeable to others at a glance, so some friends will think of filling the tear trough. Filling tear troughs actually involves injecting drugs and performing plastic surgery, and you must be very careful because the skin around the eyes is relatively thin and needs to be done with caution.

1. Push injection should be slow, and shape while pushing injection

When injecting, you must be slow and shape the injection at the same time. Because the skin at the tear trough is thinner, this allows the filler to be evenly spread in the tear trough depression to achieve the best effect.

2. Injection level is on the periosteum

It is recommended to inject tear trough filling into the deep layer, onto the periosteum. If the injection is only in the epidermis, slight bruises are likely to occur; if the injection is close to the periosteum, it will be more natural and less likely to cause bruises, but the injection location still needs to be determined based on the individual's facial condition.

3. The effect is good in the early stage when injected into the shallow layer, but there are many problems in the long term.

Some doctors will find that if the injection is too deep, the tear trough cannot be lifted, so they will choose to inject shallowly and flatly. Although the effect is very good in the early stage, problems may easily occur. Because when injecting superficially, you should not inject into the dermis but into the fascia. However, the skin of the tear trough is very thin and the orbicularis oculi muscle is difficult to separate from the subcutaneous tissue. Therefore, it is easy to inject into the orbicularis oculi muscle, forming a fibrous wrapping. The fibrous wrapping has no blood supply and is easy to gather into a ball. At the same time, there is melanin in the shallow layer of the skin. If the injection is too shallow, the melanin will be activated and the skin will become darker. If an excessive amount is injected, a nodule may easily form.

4. If you must inject shallowly, only a small amount can be injected

Deep injections require fewer needle points and have a lower bruising rate. If the injection is not done close to the periosteum, it will easily be moved by the orbital septum fat. If the orbital septum fat is injected, it will swell violently and cause pseudo-eye bags. If an overdose is injected, redness and swelling may occur. If you must inject superficially, only inject a small amount and massage evenly.

5. Preoperative ice pack and postoperative compression are very important

The tear trough is rich in blood vessels and bruising is very likely to occur. Applying ice before surgery can shrink the capillaries and prevent bleeding. At the same time, you should press immediately after the injection, even if there is no bleeding, to prevent bruising a few days after the injection.

6. How to avoid bruises?

During the injection, try to control the needle insertion area as much as possible. It is best not to have too many needle holes, because there are many small capillaries in the tear trough, and bruises will appear once they are touched. If bruises appear, it usually takes about 5-10 days to subside, so be sure to avoid them. In areas where the tissue is very thin, where there is almost only a layer of skin and no fat layer, you must be cautious when injecting, especially when it comes to the injection amount. You must pay special attention to this issue.
