Are there benign prostate tumors?

Prostate cancer is a disease that everyone feels is very dangerous. There are also classifications for prostate cancer, which can be divided into benign and malignant. What are the symptoms of these two types of tumors? For prostate cancer, we must know more about it and do everything to prevent it in time. So are there benign prostate tumors?

Because prostate cancer occurs in the peripheral zone of the prostate, it is usually asymptomatic in the early stage of prostate cancer. Phases A and B are usually asymptomatic lesions, and only a few cases have obstructive symptoms. Phase B often has DRE, and urethral obstruction symptoms often occur. Phase D has urethral obstruction symptoms.

(1) Symptoms of bladder neck obstruction: When the volume increases and blocks the urethra, the patient may experience symptoms similar to those of benign prostatic hyperplasia, manifested as frequent urination, increased number of nocturia, thinner urine stream, dysuria and urinary retention. However, in patients with prostate cancer, the obstruction symptoms are characterized by rapid, gradual exacerbation. According to statistics, symptomatic treatment of bladder neck obstruction is 74.1%-93.8% and hematuria is symptomatic, while for patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia, only L1.1%-13% of them are treated.

(2) Symptoms of local spread of tumors: When the tumor spreads through the capsule and peripheral nerves, perineal pain, such as pain along the sciatic nerve, will radiate and spread further; rectal involvement may cause difficulty in defecation or intestinal obstruction; lymph node metastasis along the abdominal aorta may compress the ureter, spread locally to the ureteral orifice, and hydronephrosis may cause low back pain, impaired renal function, and bilateral cases may lead to renal failure. When the tumor extensively infiltrates the urethral membranous part, damage occurs, and incontinence occurs.

Main symptoms

The initial symptoms of prostate cancer are rare, but once the inflamed prostate is noticeable, the cancer cells have spread beyond the prostate gland. The following symptoms may occur: Frequent urination, especially at night. Difficulty starting and stopping urination. Failure or interruption of urination. Pain or burning sensation during urination.

Symptoms of advanced prostate cancer: persistent pain or stiffness in the pelvis, midsection, upper thighs, bones and joints in this area. Weight loss, loss of appetite, fatigue, nausea and vomiting.

If you have difficulty urinating, frequent urination, painful urination or discomfort during urination, your doctor will examine your prostate to clarify whether there is a swollen prostate. If there is cancer or other diseases causing it. If there is even persistent pain in the waist, pelvis, femur. This pain cannot be explained by medical treatment. Various diseases cause pain, but it may also be from metastasis of advanced prostate cancer.

Men are most likely to develop prostate cancer. When this disease occurs, it is necessary to analyze in detail whether it is benign, because benign prostate cancer can be cured after treatment. Therefore, once you think it is prostate cancer, you must take preventive measures in advance to avoid causing great harm.
