How long does it take to reexamine gastric cancer if it is cured in the early stage

Patients with early-stage gastric cancer generally do not need chemotherapy, radiotherapy or other auxiliary treatments after surgical treatment. They only need to go to the hospital for follow-up visits regularly after surgery.

1. Half a year: If your body recovers well, it is recommended to go to the hospital for a comprehensive checkup every three months or so;

2. One year: If the condition is stable and there are no obvious symptoms, you can follow the doctor's advice to have a checkup once a year;

3. Three years: In the first two years, a review is required every six months. In the third year and thereafter, the review period can be appropriately extended to nine or twelve months.

You should also pay attention to your eating habits and lifestyle, avoid spicy foods, tobacco and alcohol, maintain a regular schedule, and insist on moderate exercise to strengthen your physical fitness, help improve your immunity, and prevent recurrence and metastasis.

Gastric cancer is a type of malignant tumor. The cause of the disease is still unclear. It may be related to Helicobacter pylori infection or genetic factors. Clinical manifestations include upper abdominal pain, loss of appetite, and weight loss. Once gastric cancer is diagnosed, effective measures should be taken in time to treat it, so as not to delay the best treatment time and affect the prognosis.

At present, the main clinical treatment for this disease is radical resection, and radiotherapy or chemotherapy is also needed to control the development of the disease. In daily life, we should pay attention to developing good living habits, quit smoking and limit alcohol, pay attention to a reasonable diet, eat more fresh fruits and vegetables, eat less greasy food, drink more water, and ensure adequate sleep time, which is beneficial to physical health.
