What are the precautions for routine blood tests

The so-called routine blood test is the most basic means of blood examination. Through this test, we can understand the specific morphology of blood cells, determine whether we have certain diseases, and understand the health status of the patient. Generally speaking, routine blood tests mainly focus on checking white blood cells, red blood cells and platelets. Although routine blood tests are very common, there are many issues that deserve attention.

If you experience symptoms of needle phobia such as dizziness, blurred vision, fatigue, etc. after blood drawing, you should lie down immediately and drink a small amount of sugar water, and then have a physical examination after the symptoms are relieved. If local bruising occurs, apply a warm towel for wet compress after 24 hours to promote absorption. Routine blood test is the most common and basic blood test. Blood is composed of two major parts: liquid and visible cells. Routine blood tests examine the cellular part of blood. Blood has three types of cells with different functions: red blood cells (commonly known as red blood cells), white blood cells (commonly known as white blood cells), and platelets. Determine the disease by observing changes in quantity and morphological distribution. It is one of the commonly used auxiliary examination methods for doctors to diagnose diseases.

After blood collection, you should straighten your forearm and use your other hand to press the hemostatic cotton ball tightly for at least 5 minutes. Do not bend your elbow to stop the bleeding, and do not twist the cotton ball to avoid subcutaneous bruising. If there is bruising around the stye, you can apply hot compress after 24 hours. To avoid infection, do not let the needle hole get wet for 24 hours. On the day of the physical examination, it is best to wear clothes with loose sleeves so that you can roll up your sleeves when drawing blood from a vein. Your clothes should be clean to prevent pinhole infection.

During a blood test, white blood cells are a very important reference standard. Through white blood cell examination, it can be found whether there is inflammation in the body, whether there is bleeding inside the body, and whether the patient has symptoms of poisoning. Of course, platelet examination is also one of the important blood tests, mainly to determine whether the patient's coagulation condition is normal.
