However, if the patient does not take the condition seriously and often smokes, drinks, eats pickles and other irritating foods, the chance of cancer is higher. It is recommended that the patient seek medical attention in a timely manner and receive targeted treatment under the guidance of a physician. The specific analysis is as follows:

1. Not high: Gastric erosion itself is not a typical manifestation of gastric cancer. Gastric erosion is usually caused by gastric mucosal damage due to multiple factors such as excessive gastric acid, Helicobacter pylori infection, and drug stimulation, while gastric cancer is caused by malignant cell proliferation due to multiple factors such as gene mutation, chronic inflammation, and environmental factors. Although both gastric erosion and gastric cancer may occur in the case of abnormal proliferation of gastric mucosal epithelial cells, there are obvious differences in pathology between the two. In most cases, gastric erosion does not directly develop into gastric cancer.

2. Higher: If the patient does not actively seek treatment, or often smokes, drinks, eats bacon, pickles, and chili peppers, it will further irritate the stomach. Long-term chronic inflammatory stimulation and damage may cause abnormal differentiation of gastric mucosal cells, destroy the cell structure, lead to malignant cell proliferation, and increase the risk of cancer.

Patients should choose easily digestible and nutritious foods, such as porridge, noodles, vegetables, fruits, etc. At the same time, regular gastroscopy should be performed to observe the recovery of the gastric mucosa and whether new erosions appear.
