Causes and treatments of cervical cancer

Cervical cancer is a common malignant tumor in gynecology. The peak age for cervical carcinoma in situ is 30 to 35 years old, and the peak age for invasive cervical cancer is 45 to 55 years old. In recent years, the incidence has tended to be younger. Cervical cancer may cause lower back and abdominal pain, vaginal bleeding, foul-smelling leucorrhea, and various symptoms caused by differences in the recurrence site, such as frequent urination, urgency, pain, hematuria, cough, chest tightness, rectal bleeding, etc. The causes of cervical cancer include physiological factors, viral infection, bad sexual habits, low immune system function, long-term use of hormone drugs, etc. The specific analysis is as follows:

1. Physiological factors: such as early menarche, late menopause, infertility, etc., may increase the incidence of cervical cancer. Although this situation cannot be prevented, good living habits and diet can ensure a regular life for the human body and reduce the risk of cancer.

2. Viral infection: The main cause of cervical cancer is high-risk human papillomavirus infection. Human papillomavirus is contagious and is mainly transmitted through sexual transmission, mother-to-child transmission, direct contact and other routes. After infection, the virus will invade the skin, mucous membranes, genitals and other parts of the human body, leading to the occurrence of cervical cancer. For viral infection, prevention is the main approach. Human papillomavirus infection can be prevented by vaccination with human papillomavirus vaccine, thereby reducing the risk of cervical cancer. In addition, if you have been infected with human papillomavirus, it is recommended to perform regular cervical cytology and human papillomavirus testing to detect and treat cervical precancerous lesions at an early stage.

3. Bad sexual habits: Bad sexual habits such as early sexual life, multiple sexual partners, and irregular sexual partners may increase the risk of cervical cancer. These behaviors can easily damage the female uterus and expose the cervix to more carcinogens. It is recommended to adopt safe sexual behavior and avoid early sexual life and multiple sexual partners. At the same time, pay attention to personal hygiene, keep the vulva clean, and avoid reproductive tract infections.

4. Weak immune system: People with weak immune system are more likely to develop cervical cancer. A decline in the immune system may weaken the body's ability to clear viruses, causing persistent HPV infection and increasing the incidence of cervical cancer. It is recommended to improve immunity through increased exercise and a healthy diet. If necessary, immune-enhancing drugs such as immunoglobulin and transfer factor can be used under the guidance of a doctor.

5. Long-term use of hormone drugs: Long-term use of hormone drugs may increase the risk of cervical cancer. It is recommended to use hormone drugs reasonably under the guidance of a doctor and avoid long-term and excessive use.

At present, the treatment methods for cervical cancer mainly include surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, targeted therapy and immunotherapy. For patients with early cervical cancer, cervical cancer tissue can be removed by surgery. For patients with mid-to-late stage cervical cancer, tumor tissue can be irradiated with radiation to kill cancer cells. In daily life, it is particularly important to prevent, detect and treat cervical precancerous lesions at an early stage, improve living habits and enhance immunity. Regular gynecological examinations are also an important measure to prevent cervical cancer.
