With the increase of social pressure, the number of breast cancer patients is increasing. So what are the early symptoms of breast cancer in women? How should women check whether they have breast cancer? Next, Xiaobian introduces the early symptoms and examination methods of breast cancer for your reference.

What are the early symptoms of breast cancer?

1. Pain

A small number of patients with breast cancer experience dull pain or tingling

2. Lump

The outer quadrant of the breast is a common site for breast cancer. The lumps are often painless, single, irregular, solid, hard, and poorly mobile.

3. Local skin changes

The "dimple sign" appears on the breast skin. It is an important sign caused by the adhesion of Cooper's ligament or tumor to the skin. When cancer cells block the subcutaneous lymphatic vessels, orange peel edema will appear, and some will have varicose veins and satellite nodules.

4. Nipple discharge

The mammary ducts, especially the large duct epithelial hyperplasia, inflammation, hemorrhage, necrosis and tumors, can cause nipple discharge. The discharge can be five colors, milky white, light yellow, brown, blood, etc. It can be watery, bloody, serous or purulent. Breast cancer is common blood, usually due to underwear contamination and patient discovery.

5. Nipple changes

When the lesion invades the nipple or the area below the areola, the fibrous tissue and duct system of the breast can be shortened due to the invasion of the tumor. The nipple is pulled and deviated to the tumor side. The further development of the lesion can make the nipple flat, shrink, and become sunken until the areola is completely shrunk and the nipple is invisible. Nipple erosion is also an important feature of breast cancer.

How to check for breast cancer?

1. Pay attention to the particularity of breast history, especially menstrual history, marriage and childbearing history, previous breast history and family history of breast cancer, because these medical histories are of great significance for predisposition physical examination and further examination. This is one of the examination methods for breast cancer.

2. In terms of growth rate, benign lesions grow slowly, and the course of the disease varies from one year to several years. Malignant lesions grow rapidly, and may grow to the size of a fist after a few months. The above is to distinguish benign and malignant lesions from morphology, activity, skin, nipples, texture, growth rate, etc., and to conduct a comprehensive clinical analysis in combination with other symptoms and signs.

3. For patients with breast disease who are newly diagnosed, if they are not satisfied with the physical examination, they can be asked to cooperate and have the examination performed at the best time, such as around the 10th day of the menstrual cycle, to avoid interference caused by physiological changes in the breast during the menstrual cycle. This type of breast cancer examination is very common.

4. Pay attention to breast physical examinations to avoid misdiagnosis due to over-reliance on imaging examinations, ignoring clinical signs with diagnostic value, or prescribing many examinations in a scattershot manner, causing patients to bear unnecessary burdens due to inappropriate auxiliary examinations. This is also a breast cancer examination item.

5. Early diagnosis of breast cancer, from the analysis of the skin surface and nipples, most benign lesions have no skin changes, and the nipples are not inverted (except for congenital inverted nipples). A few patients have secretions on the nipples, and the secretions are mostly water-like and milk-like, such as cystic breast hyperplasia and plasma cell mastitis; malignant lesions have lumps, "orange peel-like" and "dimple-like" changes appear around the skin, and the nipples are inverted (except for congenital inverted nipples), and the nipple secretions are mostly blood-like, light yellow, serum-like discharge, etc.
