What are the five liver cancer tumor markers?

The five liver cancer tumor markers are alpha-fetoprotein and transferrin, as well as abnormal prothrombin, γ-glutamyltransferase isozyme II, and serum α-L-fucosidase.

1. Alpha-fetoprotein: It is a glycoprotein synthesized by fetal liver cells and yolk sac. The content is generally relatively low, most of which are less than 25μg/L. If the value of formaldehyde protein increases, it indicates that primary liver cancer may occur.

2. Transferrin: It is the main ferritin in plasma and is usually synthesized by the liver. If the value of transferrin in the body increases, it may indicate that the liver may be cancerous.

3. Abnormal prothrombin: It is one of the abnormal coagulation factors. Under normal circumstances, the abnormal prothrombin is 20μg/L. If the value increases, it generally indicates the possibility of primary liver cancer.

4. γ-glutamyltransferase isoenzyme II: It is an isoenzyme with a normal value between 0-50U/L. If the value is significantly elevated, it generally indicates liver malignancy.

5. Serum α-L-fucosidase: It is an enzyme present in serum with a normal value of 30-40U/L. If this value increases significantly, it may also indicate the possibility of primary liver cancer.

If diagnosed with liver cancer, it is recommended to actively cooperate with the doctor for treatment. At the same time, the patient should maintain a good lifestyle and eat a light diet to help control the disease.
