The nemesis of nasopharyngeal cancer patients

The nemesis of nasopharyngeal cancer patients

The nemesis of nasopharyngeal cancer patients:

Clinically, there is no nemesis for nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients. If a patient has nasopharyngeal carcinoma, it is recommended to seek medical treatment in time and receive treatment through radiotherapy, drug therapy, surgery, etc. under the guidance of a doctor.

1. Radiotherapy: Nasopharyngeal carcinoma has the characteristic of infiltrating surrounding tissues, and the target area is generally designed to be large and irregular. At present, most medical units have adopted enhanced radiotherapy technology, which can maximize the concentration of radiotherapy doses in the target area, which can not only kill tumor cells, but also reduce damage to adjacent tissues, helping to improve the overall survival rate.

2. Drug treatment: Chemotherapy can prevent the proliferation, infiltration, metastasis of cancer cells, or kill cancer cells. It is often used as an auxiliary treatment for this disease. Commonly used clinical drugs include paclitaxel, gemcitabine, docetaxel, cisplatin, 5-fluorouracil, etc.

3. Surgical treatment: If localized lesions in the nasopharynx do not subside or recur after radiotherapy; if metastatic lymph nodes in the neck do not subside after radiotherapy and the primary lesions in the nasopharynx have been controlled, the neck lymph nodes can be cleaned under the guidance of a doctor if necessary.

It is recommended that patients with nasopharyngeal cancer try to diversify their food in daily life, eat more high-protein, low-fat, vitamin-rich foods, pay attention to the combination of meat and vegetables to ensure balanced nutrition, eat less smoked, pickled, grilled or fried foods, and do not eat spoiled or irritating foods, which will help promote the recovery of nasopharyngeal cancer.
