Young people have high blood pressure

Young people have high blood pressure

Hypertension is a common disease in life, but most people with hypertension are elderly people, because the various functions of the elderly's body will slow down, so their own physical fitness will be reduced, which will cause hypertension. Due to the high pressure of life and work, young people also have hypertension, so young people should also learn to relax. So what should young people do if their blood pressure is high?

Hypertension in young people is mainly caused by great work and life pressure, unreasonable diet, irregular work and rest, long-term exposure to computers and air conditioners, etc. If it is corrected in time when you are young, you will recover faster and it will not have much impact on your future life. If young and middle-aged people under 40 have symptoms of high blood pressure, they need to keep a good mood, communicate more with close people, do more exercise such as jogging, walking, Tai Chi, internal exercises, meditation, etc., and pay attention to the following diet:

The dietary treatment for patients with hypertension is based on the principles of reducing sodium salt, reducing dietary fat and supplementing an appropriate amount of high-quality protein, paying attention to supplementing calcium and potassium, eating more vegetables and fruits, quitting smoking and drinking, and drinking water scientifically.

① The diet should be light: It is recommended to be mainly vegetarian, which can lower the blood pressure of patients with hypertension. Therefore, patients with hypertension should have a light diet that is high in vitamins, fiber, calcium, low in fat and cholesterol. Total fat accounts for less than 30% of total calories, and protein accounts for about 15% of total calories. It is recommended to eat more coarse grains, whole grains, fresh vegetables, fruits, soy products, lean meat, fish, chicken and other foods, and vegetable oils, and eat less lard, greasy foods, white sugar, spicy foods, strong tea, coffee, etc.

② Reduce the amount of salt intake: Eating too much sodium salt is a causative factor of high blood pressure, and controlling sodium salt intake is beneficial to lowering and stabilizing blood pressure. Clinical trials have shown that reducing the daily salt intake of hypertensive patients from 10.5 grams to 4.7-5.8 grams can reduce systolic blood pressure by an average of 4-6 mmHg.

③Quit smoking and drinking: Tobacco and alcohol are risk factors for hypertension. Addiction to smoking and drinking increases the possibility of hypertension complicating cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. Alcohol can also reduce the patient's responsiveness to anti-hypertensive drugs. Therefore, patients with hypertension are required to quit smoking and drinking, and those who have difficulty quitting drinking should also limit their drinking.

④ Eat in moderation: Eat three meals a day at regular times and in regular amounts, do not be too hungry or too full, and do not overeat. The daily diet can be arranged as follows: 250-350 grams of carbohydrates (equivalent to 6-8 taels of staple food), 400-500 grams of fresh vegetables, 100 grams of fruit, 20-25 grams of cooking oil, 250 grams (ml) of milk, 3 servings of high-protein food (each serving refers to: 50-100 grams of lean meat, or 1 egg, or 100 grams of tofu, or 100 grams of chicken or duck, or 100 grams of fish or shrimp. 4 to 5 eggs per week are enough).

⑤ Drink water scientifically: Water hardness is closely related to the occurrence of hypertension. Studies have shown that hard water contains more calcium and magnesium ions, which are important regulatory substances involved in the contractile and diastolic function of vascular smooth muscle cells. If they are lacking, blood vessels can easily spasm, eventually leading to high blood pressure. Therefore, patients with hypertension should try to drink hard water, such as spring water, deep well water, natural mineral water, etc.
