The upper and lower eyelids are red, swollen and itchy

In autumn and winter, the weather is relatively dry, and many people's eyelids will feel a little uncomfortable, itchy, flaky, and some will even be swollen. The more I scratch, the more it itches, and ordinary medicines are of no use; some people say it's an allergy. The situations of different people are different. Some people may get it because of allergies, while others may not have the same reason. Below, the editor will introduce to you the reasons why the upper and lower eyelids become red, swollen and itchy.

1. Simple itchy eyelids and flaking are not common allergies, but are more likely to be neurodermatitis. Most people don’t know this, but it is a very common skin disease in dermatology.

2 Neurodermatitis is caused by autonomic nervous system dysfunction, which leads to increased skin sensitivity and is related to external irritants. Therefore, neurodermatitis patients should avoid friction and scratching, otherwise it will become worse.

3. Periocular neurodermatitis, its internal root is stress, insomnia, stomach problems, etc., among which stomach problems are the most important. Of course, some people have no symptoms of stomach problems, but they can be checked in the hospital, or there are changes in the tongue coating; therefore, treatment must take stomach problems into consideration;

4. For eyelid allergy, itching and peeling, do not apply ointments randomly, because general topical ointments contain hormones and are prohibited from being used on the face, otherwise there will be very serious consequences; the author generally recommends using cyproheptadine hydrochloride cream, which is a very common drug and does not contain hormones;

5. For oral medication, you can simply take Baixuan Xiatare Tablets, which are effective for some people; but for those with serious conditions, it is best to go to the dermatology department of the hospital to get Chinese medicine.

6 For patients with serious illness or obvious gastric symptoms, some medicine for treating gastric disease must be prescribed at the same time, such as Guipi Pills, etc.

7. Treatment time: The general treatment time for allergies is one week; while the treatment time for neurodermatitis is generally required to be more than 20 days, because human nerve regulation is generally based on a 20-day cycle; if the time is shorter than this, the symptoms can be alleviated, but it is easy to relapse;
