Why do people get bone cancer

Bone cancer, including primary bone cancer, mainly refers to osteosarcoma and some secondary bone cancers. The specific cause of bone cancer may not be very clear, and it is the result of a combination of factors. It may be related to local trauma, and then it is also related to some gene mutations and environmental factors, such as radiation pollution. Some drugs may cause bone cancer, but the specific cause is still unclear. There are also some metastatic bone cancers, and some primary tumor lesions are easy to metastasize, such as local radiotherapy, and regular use of bisphosphonates, which can inhibit bone cell damage treatment, etc.

Bone Cancer Symptoms

The most common bone cancer is osteosarcoma. The main symptom is the formation of local masses, which will manifest as pain and limb movement disorders, which may lead to complete inability to walk, which is more serious. If bone cancer metastasizes to other parts of the body, corresponding symptoms of the metastatic site will appear, such as liver metastasis, right upper abdominal pain, jaundice, ascites, etc. Bone cancer may also cause lung metastasis, cough, sputum, hemoptysis, brain metastasis, increased intracranial pressure, etc.

What to do with advanced bone cancer?

Advanced bone cancer is generally divided into advanced primary bone cancer, the most common of which is primary osteosarcoma, and the others are advanced secondary bone cancer. If this malignant tumor metastasizes to the bone from other places, it is itself in the advanced stage. It is found that bone cancer like this osteosarcoma is generally relatively poor in treatment effect, and it may not be able to be treated surgically in the late stage, and has metastasized to other places through the blood or lymphatic channels. In this case, only palliative radiotherapy, chemotherapy and targeted drug therapy can control the development of the disease, or if the pain is severe, some analgesics can be used for treatment.
