How is breast cancer diagnosed

How is breast cancer diagnosed

If abnormal breast nodules are found during a physical examination, color Doppler ultrasound, molybdenum target or magnetic resonance imaging is needed to clarify the pathological classification. IV patients need to take samples for pathological examination. If cancer cells are found in the pathological examination, breast cancer can generally be diagnosed. Further immunohistochemistry testing is required to determine the molecular classification of cancer cells. Patients with triple-negative breast cancer whose ER, PR, and Her-2 are all negative have a very short survival period; patients with positive ER and PR but negative Her-2 have a longer survival period; the proportion of patients with the immunohistochemistry indicator Ki67 greater than 90% and Ki67 <15 have a long survival period.

How many years can you live after breast cancer surgery?

According to different pathological indicators, breast cancer can be divided into hormone receptor-dependent type and Her-2 positive type. The survival time after breast cancer surgery is related to its staging and classification. Simply put, after appropriate treatment of stage I breast cancer, the five-year survival rate can exceed 90%, stage II can reach 80%, and stage III has a lower five-year survival rate of about 50%. The IV stage has dropped significantly, with a five-year survival rate of about 20-30%. In principle, the later the installment payment, the shorter the survival time. A special type of breast cancer, triple-negative breast cancer has a high probability of recurrence and metastasis, and a short survival time.

Dietary guidance after breast cancer surgery

The diet after breast cancer surgery is as follows: 1. It is not recommended to eat fried foods: pickled foods, grilled foods, high-fat and high-calorie foods have certain stimulating effects; 2. Patients are prohibited from taking estrogen drugs or foods: such as royal jelly and offal; 3. It is recommended to eat fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, fungi and other foods with anti-cancer effects; 4. Soy products: contain soy isoflavones, which are a type of phytoestrogen.
