How should melanoma be treated?

Melanoma is a relatively common malignant tumor. It is mainly caused by pigmentation or moles. If people suffer from melanoma, it will bring serious blows to the patient's family and work, and even in severe cases, there may be a risk of death. Therefore, some methods of treating melanoma are needed in normal times. Let's take a look below!

Non-surgical treatment: refers to radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Since basal cell carcinoma is sensitive to radiotherapy, if the cancer is far from the eyelid margin and the affected area is small, radiotherapy can be used alone. However, radiotherapy also brings some complications, such as radiation dermatitis, keratitis and cataracts, and sometimes secondary glaucoma. If surgical resection and radiotherapy are ineffective, and the cancer has metastasized to the brain, other treatments can only be given.

Surgical treatment: Generally, if the tumor volume is less than 10 mm, there is no need to do a biopsy first. Just do a complete resection and then send it for biopsy. The resection line should be slightly farther and deeper from the tumor. If the malignancy is low, less resection is needed. On the contrary, if the malignancy is high, more resection is needed. Generally, according to Ring's suggestion, the distance from the tumor body should be between 4 and 8 mm. However, some people have suggested that it can be more than 15 mm. If tumor tissue is still found in the tissue sent for examination, it can be resected and combined with other treatment methods. After the tumor is removed, the repair problem should be handled according to the specific situation.

TCM treatment: TCM molecular targeted immunotherapy is based on tumor molecular biology. It targets cell signaling and other biological pathways involved in the development of tumors, uses specific molecules related to tumors as targets, and uses target molecule-specific preparations or drugs for treatment. In layman's terms, TCM molecular targeted therapy is a drug treatment method that interferes with and inhibits the growth of tumors at the molecular level to control and kill tumors.
