Early symptoms of nasal cyst

Early symptoms of nasal cyst

Nasal cyst is a disease caused by the growth of cysts in various parts of the nose. It often occurs in young and middle-aged people. Nasal cyst harms more than just the nose. After suffering from nasal cyst, the first thing that happens is that the external shape of the nose will swell and deform, and then our eyes will also experience pain, tearing, and eye displacement. In severe cases, nasal cysts can also cause general discomfort, fever, local redness and swelling, etc., so timely treatment is required.

Nasal cyst hazards

The classification of nasal cysts is complex. The same cause can cause nasal cysts in different parts of the body, and the same cyst can be caused by multiple factors. If the disease is not treated in time or is treated improperly, it will often cause the following harms.

1. External deformity: Symptoms of nasal cysts: external deformity, bulging of the sinus surface

2. Eye symptoms: eye pain, diplopia, tearing, eye displacement

3. Nasal examination: The lateral wall of the nasal cavity shifts toward the midline

In addition, infection of nasal cysts may cause general discomfort, fever, headache, local redness and swelling, etc.

Sinus cyst treatment

Because the paranasal sinuses are adjacent to organs such as the eyes, and the structure of the paranasal sinuses themselves is narrow, the treatment of nasal cysts is inadvertently made more difficult. Therefore, the treatment of nasal cysts must follow certain treatment principles.

1. Mucocele: Remove the cyst through the intranasal or extranasal route, and the drainage port must be unobstructed.

2. Mucosal cysts generally do not require surgery. If the symptoms are obvious and recurring, radical surgical removal of the maxillary sinus can be performed.

3. For tooth-containing cysts, maxillary sinus cleaning is performed to remove the cyst and preserve the maxillary sinus mucosa. For tooth root cysts, the cyst is removed and the affected tooth is treated.

4. Low-temperature plasma ablation therapy is a method that directly applies the low-temperature thermal effect of plasma to the diseased tissue, achieving high heat in a small area, producing coagulation, causing necrosis of the diseased tissue, and then falling off to achieve the purpose of removing the lesion.

Treatment of nasal vestibule cyst

1. Nasal congestion and local swelling on one side.

2. There is a semi-circular bulge at the bottom of the nasal vestibule or the attachment point of the nose wing, which is elastic and fluctuating when touched.

3. Local puncture produces a yellowish transparent liquid, which becomes purulent when infected.

4. X-ray shows a uniform circular shadow at the bottom of the piriform foramen.

For all of the above, complete cyst removal is required.
