The pain between the nails may be caused by this disease

Many people experience pain between the nails, but do not take it seriously, thinking that it will heal after a while. In fact, this may be a hint from the body, telling the patient that paronychia is likely the cause. Paronychia is an infectious disease that is common and people should pay special attention to it and seek timely treatment when it occurs.

1. Pain between nails may be caused by paronychia

Paronychia refers to a purulent infection of the soft tissue around the nails, which is called "snake eye therapy" and "nail therapy" in traditional Chinese medicine. Paronychia is usually caused by punctures, tearing of flesh burrs, or injury during nail trimming, which allows infection by staphylococci, tuberculosis, sporothrix, or Candida albicans.

The clinical manifestations of paronychia are redness, swelling, heat and pain proximal to the nail groove, which gradually spreads through the subcutaneous tissue at the root of the nail to the opposite side, forming inflammation and suppuration around the nail, presenting as yellow-white pus spots. Thick fluid may invade the subungual, supungual or subcutaneous areas or exude and form scabs, causing itching and pain. If it does not heal for a long time, it will become chronic onychomycosis or the abscess will invade the subcutaneous tissue and form purulent onychomycosis.

2. Treatment Methods

Traditional medicine has unique therapeutic effects on this disease without any side effects.
