How long can you live with lymphoma? What should you pay attention to after the treatment?

Lymphoma is now becoming younger and younger. Many young people in their early thirties are also suffering from the disease. It is worth everyone's attention. So, how long can people with lymphoma live? What should you pay attention to after the treatment?

It is not possible to generalize how long a patient with lymphoma can live, as is the case with any cancer. However, lymphoma is a relatively easy-to-treat malignant tumor with a better prognosis. Patients in the early stages of the disease are completely likely to be cured, meaning that they can live to their natural age. For patients with advanced lymphoma, some patients who are still in good health can live with the tumor for a long time if they receive effective systematic treatment.

Clinical data show that the 5-year survival rate of advanced lymphoma is about 30%. How long a patient with lymphoma can survive depends on the clinical stage and tissue typing. In pathology, lymphoma is divided into two categories: Hodgkin's disease (HD) and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL). The prognosis of HD is significantly better than that of NHL, and the 5-year survival rate of most patients with HDI and stage II can reach 98%.

If the patients are asymptomatic in stage III, 65%-75% of them can be cured, so the relevant materials list Hodgkin's disease as a curable malignant tumor. Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma is easy to spread throughout the body, and some patients can be completely cured after effective treatment, but for most patients, such as those in clinical stage III-IV, the 5-year survival rate is less than 30%.

Therefore, you still need to be mentally prepared for this, but if the lymphoma is cured, you still have to thank God and take care of your health.

The recovery of lymphoma depends on whether the treatment is thorough and the daily care of the patient after treatment. If the care is proper, it can prevent recurrence to a certain extent and improve the body's resistance to disease. In terms of diet, lymphoma patients should eat light, easy-to-digest and nutritious food, avoid raw, cold, greasy, spicy food, quit smoking and drinking. They can also rely on taking Chinese medicine with anti-tumor and spleen and kidney tonifying effects.
