The average hemoglobin concentration is low

The average hemoglobin concentration is low

If people want to have a healthy body, they must meet all the indicators. Hemoglobin is a protein that exists in the human body and some other higher organisms. The main function of hemoglobin is to transport oxygen in the body. Many people's hemoglobin concentration is either too high or too low, which is actually not good for human health. So what if the average hemoglobin concentration of a person is low?

Since hemoglobin can be high or low, what is the standard for a normal hemoglobin index? Many people may still be vague about the concept of hemoglobin concentration. Here we will introduce to you what the normal hemoglobin index is.

Mean corpuscular volume (MCV) Mean corpuscular hemoglobin (MCH) Mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC)

Macrocytic anemia 94-160 fl 32-50 pg 32-36%

Normocytic anemia 80-90 fl 27-31 pg 32-36%

Simple microcytic anemia 72-80 fl 21-24 pg 32-36%

Microcytic hypochromic anemia 50-80 fl 21-29 pg 24-30%

What happens if the average hemoglobin concentration is too low? A decrease in red blood cells and hemoglobin means that the number of red blood cells, the amount of hemoglobin and the hematocrit in the blood are lower than the lower limit of the normal range of reference values, which is usually called anemia. Taking hemoglobin as the standard, anemia can be considered if the hemoglobin level of an adult male is <120g/L and that of an adult female is <110g/L. According to the degree of hemoglobin decrease, anemia is divided into the following 4 levels:

(1) Mild anemia: hemoglobin is less than the lower limit of the normal range of the reference value, reduced to 90 g/L; (2) Moderate anemia: hemoglobin 90-60 g/L; (3) Severe anemia: hemoglobin 60-30 g/L; (4) Extreme anemia: hemoglobin <30 g/L.

treat:

1. Etiological treatment: First, find out the cause of anemia and eliminate it as much as possible.

2 Iron treatment: Oral iron supplements can be taken in the form of ferrous sulfate, three times a day, 0.2-0.3g each time.

3 Auxiliary treatment: Strengthen nutrition and increase iron-rich foods: such as liver, kidney, lean meat, blood, eggs, milk, dried fruits (dates, dried apricots), fungus, mushrooms, green leafy vegetables, etc.

If the average hemoglobin concentration in the human body is too low, anemia will occur, which is very harmful to the human body. Therefore, when people find out that their hemoglobin concentration is too low, they should pay enough attention to it. They can also treat it with diet or oral medication. Otherwise, the longer the time is delayed, the more detrimental it will be to the patient's health.
