How to make soap

How to make soap
Soap is a skin and hair care product. There are many types of soaps. It is a washing product on the market. The main raw material is a sodium fatty acid, and some other improvers are added. At least one of the processed products can also be used for daily disinfection and hand washing, and has a certain recovery ability for the skin. Different soaps have different ingredients, and the main effects on the skin are also different.

The main function of soap is to clean and wash the surface to remove dirt and grime, as well as skin secretions, excretions, chemical bacteria, etc. It has a good effect in removing surface adsorption. There are also different process technologies in the soap making process. Let us briefly introduce the soap making method.

1. Cut the soap base

Take out the soap base, visually estimate the amount of soap to be made, and cut it with a knife at the appropriate place. Afterwards, cut the soap base into small pieces in any shape you like, such as dices, strips, shreds, etc. The purpose of cutting it into small pieces is to speed up melting, so the smaller it is cut, the faster it melts. No matter how you cut it, it is recommended that each piece is the same size so that when heated, some parts of the soap base will not be overheated while other parts are not yet melted.

2. Heat and melt the soap base

The transparent soap base is about 45. C and above it will begin to melt. It is usually melted by heating in a water bath or in a microwave. The purpose of heating in a water bath is to prevent the soap base from burning. If you want to heat it directly, you must turn the heat down to a very low level, and be careful to prevent it from burning at any time! When heating in a water bath, just use a low heat, and the water temperature does not need to be too high. If you see the water start to bubble or even boil, it means the water temperature is too high, and you must quickly turn down the heat or temporarily turn it off. Try not to stir the soap while it's heating, as this will create a lot of unnecessary bubbles. If you use color blocks or titanium dioxide (titanium dioxide) to adjust the color, you need to heat them at the same time as the soap base. As for the amount to add, it depends on personal preference and experience (generally speaking, just a little bit is enough).

The soap base is melted! This time I melted the transparent soap base and the white soap base at the same time. The generation of bubbles when transparent soap base melts depends on the soap base manufacturer, whether it is heated for too long, and whether it is stirred during heating. Bubbles do not affect the quality of the finished product, but only affect the appearance or require more time to modify. The water in the basin turned white because a piece of soap base fell into the water. After the soap base melted in the water, the water turned white. If you scoop up the soap base that has fallen into the water and put it back into the small steel cup, the soap base in the entire steel cup will be mixed with the water, which will reduce its transparency, so don't pick up the soap base that has fallen into the water.

3. Add additives

When making functional soaps, additives are often required, which can be added to the soap solution at this time. Since the soap I made this time is a basic method, this step is omitted and will be explained later when I write about functional soaps.

The above are the steps for making soap, which are mainly divided into cutting the soap base, heating and melting the soap base to make it transparent, adding additives, and some different types of fragrances, and some modifications after entering the mold. Some unique ingredients of soap can be made with some other ingredients. Because the mold is different, the shape of the soap itself is also different. In daily life, some bacteria cleaning is carried out, and you must wash your hands frequently in daily life.
