What are the symptoms of low blood sugar

Many people know that the three high problems are very harmful to people. In fact, people nowadays not only have the three high problems, but many people also have the three low problems. Low blood sugar should be said to be the most important one of them. Low blood sugar can also cause great trouble to people's health. If low blood sugar is not treated in time, it will also cause great trouble to the human body.

So what is low blood sugar? What are the symptoms of low blood sugar? In fact, if a person's blood sugar is low, it will cause muscle weakness, or look very thin, etc. So what are the other symptoms of low blood sugar?

The typical symptoms are "three more and one less". Due to the loss of a large amount of nutrients, diabetic patients with more serious conditions show emaciation, muscle weakness, decreased immune function, and are prone to respiratory, urinary and skin infections, which are difficult to control. For example, combined with foot ulcers, they often do not heal for a long time and even have to be amputated. The more important harm is that the blood sugar concentration increases, making the blood viscous, and over time it causes large blood vessels and microvascular lesions throughout the body. The main large blood vessel lesions associated with diabetes are coronary heart disease and cerebrovascular disease. The resulting myocardial infarction, cerebral infarction and cerebral hemorrhage are the main causes of death in diabetic patients. The main microvascular lesions associated with diabetes are retinopathy, kidney disease and neuropathy. The clinical manifestations may include symmetrical numbness and pain in the extremities, blurred vision, lower limb edema, proteinuria, and severe cases may cause blindness and renal failure.

Methods/Steps

Common causes of hypoglycemia include:

1. Overdose of insulin and sulfonylurea hypoglycemic drugs.

2. Functional hypoglycemia caused by abnormal neural regulation, excessive vagus nerve excitement, and excessive insulin secretion in the body.

3. After gastrointestinal surgery, food quickly enters the jejunum, causing glucose to be absorbed too quickly, blood sugar to increase, and excessive insulin secretion to be stimulated.

4. Pancreatic B-cell tumor, severe liver disease, anterior pituitary and adrenal cortex dysfunction, etc. can cause organic hypoglycemia.

5. Some people may also experience hypoglycemia after continuous strenuous exercise (such as long-distance running).

Common symptoms of hypoglycemia:

1. Feeling of hunger, weakness, pale complexion, dizziness, palpitations, rapid pulse, cold sweats, trembling limbs, etc.

2. Mental agitation, fear, hallucination, mania, convulsions, twitching, drowsiness and even coma and death.

The main hazards of hypoglycemia in diabetic patients are:

①Causes memory loss, slow reaction, dementia, and in severe cases, coma, and even life-threatening.

②It can induce cerebrovascular accidents, arrhythmias and myocardial infarction.

③ Transient hypoglycemia reactions cause blood sugar fluctuations, increasing the difficulty of treatment.

④Repeated occurrences of hypoglycemia will shake the patient's confidence in treatment.

Whether it is low blood sugar or high blood sugar, it will cause great health problems to the human body. Therefore, if you have this problem, it is best to adjust your blood sugar on a daily basis. Of course, daily measurement is also very important, so if you have this problem, it is best to master some scientific measurement methods.
