Being healthy and living a long life is not as simple as eating well and sleeping well. Longevity has many "good friends". If you stay with "them" often, they can help you live a hundred years.

With friends.

An Australian study found that people with a wide circle of friends live an average of seven years longer. Therefore, don’t stay at home after retirement. Spend more time with old friends and try to take the initiative to say hello to your neighbors. The more people you come into contact with, the more your memory and language expression functions will naturally be exercised. Talking frequently can also exercise the facial muscles and throat, which helps keep the Eustachian tube open.

Keep company with movement.

Moderate exercise not only strengthens bones, but also promotes bone growth. The elderly should regularly do some exercise within their ability, such as jogging, cycling, etc., 5 times a week, 30 minutes each time; housework such as sweeping the floor and watering the flowers are also beneficial to the joints, muscles, blood circulation, and slow down aging; even if they have been bedridden for many years, they should try to get out of bed for 1 hour every day to exercise their bones and muscles.

Be with green.

First, visit green environments often, walk around in gardens and the suburbs, and breathe fresh air; second, eat more green leafy vegetables, such as spinach, rapeseed, celery, broccoli, etc. It should be noted that the temperature should not be too high when cooking, and it is best to use light food and less oil.

Keep company with laughter.

Many elderly people worry about their children and get anxious about trivial matters, which invisibly hurts themselves. Chat with friends more often about light-hearted and pleasant things in life; learn to make white jokes and accept other people's jokes; listen to more crosstalk and watch more humorous movies and TV dramas. But it should be noted that patients with hypertension should try not to laugh loudly, otherwise it will cause a sudden rise in blood pressure, leading to cerebral hemorrhage and cerebral infarction.

Accompany with art.

People should have something to learn and something to enjoy when they are old, and cultivate their sentiments through various art forms such as music, chess, calligraphy and painting. Even if you don't have artistic talent, you can still plant flowers, raise fish, go fishing, attend senior citizen universities, etc. to cultivate your nature and add fun to your life. What needs to be reminded is that you should not be overly addicted to it and be burdened by the word "art".

A person who is loyal, kind, and generous must be mentally stable and balanced, and the regulatory functions of his nervous and endocrine systems are always in the best condition, thus leading to good health and a long life. The elderly can usually help their neighbors, participate in volunteer activities, etc.

Be with beauty.

“Being more beautiful in old age” can increase your sense of pleasure, confidence and satisfaction, and prolong your life. Older men should shave their beards every day and keep their hair neat and not greasy. Older women should do the following: cleanse their skin, trim their eyebrows, and put on some lipstick to look good.
