Small granules on the eyelids

Small granules on the eyelids

Many people have experienced small particles growing on their eyelids, which is usually called styes. If small particles grow on the eyelids, they must be punctured in time. Otherwise, the particles will continue to grow and rub against the eyeballs, which will not only easily cause eye inflammation, but also cause considerable damage to the eyeballs. What should I do if small particles grow on my eyelids?

Small particles on the eyelids can easily cause swollen eyes. In the early stages, you can usually use eye drops or ice compresses to reduce swelling. If it is already inflamed, you need to take oral anti-inflammatory drugs. The specific solutions to small particles on the eyelids are as follows:

Go to the hospital and ask an ophthalmologist for treatment in time. If the wound has become festered, you can perform an incision to drain the pus. This can not only promote early recovery but also reduce scars.

There are four reasons that induce stye: Overwork of the eyes, which causes the orbicularis oculi muscles around the eyes to contract and block the gland opening; Rubbing the eyes with unclean hands, causing bacteria to enter through the gland opening; Food-related allergies, such as some people who are addicted to seafood, chocolate, etc. If styes recur, pay attention to a full body check for diabetes. Precautions after suffering from stye: Do not squeeze the eyelids when they are red, swollen and have pus spots.

Because the eyelids are rich in blood vessels, the ocular veins are connected to the orbital veins and facial veins, and to the intracranial cavernous sinuses. In addition, the ocular veins lack veno-canalicular valves. When the abscess is squeezed, the blood will flow back in all directions, causing the inflammation to spread and causing serious complications, such as orbital cellulitis, cavernous sinus thrombosis and sepsis, which are life-threatening and should be taken seriously.

Internal stye refers to an acute suppurative inflammation of the meibomian glands in the eyelids. Its symptoms are similar to those of an external stye. However, because the inflammation is located in the relatively solid tarsal plate tissue, the pain is more severe and the inflammation lasts longer. After a few days, yellow pus spots appear on the surface of the tarsal conjunctiva, and finally the tarsal conjunctiva ruptures and pus is discharged. The inflammation gradually disappears and the disease is cured.

The above is an introduction to what to do if small particles grow on the eyelids. Small particles on the eyelids are a major problem that cannot be ignored. If left untreated, it will have a serious impact on the eyeball and may even affect a person's vision. Therefore, if you have small particles on your eyelids, please be sure to take treatment measures in time.
