How to treat bone hyperplasia

How to treat bone hyperplasia

Bone hyperplasia is one of the more common diseases among middle-aged and elderly people. There are many causes of this type of disease. In addition to being related to the large loss of calcium in the human body, it is even related to some chronic diseases. In addition, the harmfulness of bone hyperplasia cannot be ignored. In addition to the common symptoms of body stiffness, severe cases may also completely lose the ability to work. So how to treat bone hyperplasia?

In fact, there are many methods to treat bone hyperplasia. In addition to some common conservative methods, surgical methods are also needed when necessary to help patients restore their ability to live and work. So how to treat bone hyperplasia?

How to treat bone hyperplasia

Conservative methods include:

1. Direct current drug ion introduction method. Direct current drug ion introduction method fully exerts the effect of drugs, but because the introduced drugs are liquid, they are easily volatile and the efficacy is not long-lasting, which limits the diagnostic and therapeutic effect of this method.

2. Ultraviolet therapy: Its therapeutic effects are mainly manifested in the following aspects: (1) bactericidal effect; (2) anti-inflammatory effect; (3) analgesic effect; (4) promoting wound healing; (5) desensitization effect; (6) promoting the formation of vitamin D3; (7) regulating the body's immune function, etc.

3. Massage and traction. Suitable for cervical and lumbar vertebrae bone hyperplasia. Massage and traction rely entirely on the action of external force, only treating local areas while ignoring the overall regulation of the human body. Therefore, they can only have a temporary analgesic effect but cannot achieve the purpose of treatment.

4. Acupuncture: Acupuncture can promote blood circulation and relieve pain. It can eliminate local edema and inflammation, but for bone hyperplasia, acupuncture can only play an auxiliary role.

5. Western medicine diagnosis and treatment. At present, Western medicine has no effective treatment for this disease, and symptomatic treatment is often used. For example, some antipyretic and analgesic drugs can be taken when there is pain; B vitamins can be used for numbness; those with swollen joints and effusion can be given local extraction of the effusion or local blockade and other therapies. However, practice has shown that these diagnosis and treatment methods are not ideal. They only treat the symptoms but not the root cause, and the disease is prone to relapse.

If the condition is more serious, it is recommended that patients with lumbar bone hyperplasia do not use conservative treatment. It is best to choose surgical treatment. Surgery is not the first choice treatment for bone hyperplasia. When conservative treatment is ineffective and the condition is severe and seriously affects the patient's life, surgical treatment may be considered.

Regarding how to treat bone hyperplasia, common methods actually include massage, acupuncture, ultraviolet rays, etc., and even drug treatment. But if the situation is serious, then you should not just accept maintenance treatment. The best way is to use surgery to relieve the symptoms and pain caused by the disease.
