Causes of excessive sweating

Causes of excessive sweating

A certain amount of sweat will be produced after exercise or strenuous activities, which is quite common in life. However, why do we sweat too much and sweat even when we don’t exercise? Many people are more worried about excessive sweat. A lot of sweat is also caused by disease, mainly physiological and pathological. Physiological sweat is the common secretion of pores. Pathological phenomena are mainly caused by diseases.

There are many reasons for excessive sweating. At the same time, you should not take symptoms like excessive sweating lightly and must seek timely treatment. For many patients who have this type of symptom, you must diagnose and treat it in time and do not delay the disease, otherwise complications will be difficult to control.

The causes of hyperhidrosis can generally be divided into two types: organic diseases and functional disorders. The former is mainly seen in endocrine disorders and systemic diseases, such as diabetes, hyperthyroidism, hypertension, hyperpituitarism, congestive heart failure; nervous system diseases, such as concussion, hemiplegia, spinal trauma; tumors, such as metastatic tumors, carcinoid; and infectious diseases, such as malaria, tuberculosis, undulant fever, etc. Functional hyperhidrosis is generally characterized by more psychogenic sweating, such as that caused by high emotional stimulation such as mental tension, excitement, fear, anxiety, pain, and anger. Excessive sweating may occur due to increased nerve impulses caused by mental damage or emotional impulses, which increase the secretion of acetylcholine. It may also be caused by increased tension of sweat gland nerves and sympathetic nerve disorders. Excessive sweating may occur during menstruation and in some genetic syndromes.

Disease diagnosis

The main thing is to identify the cause of secondary hyperhidrosis, and judgment should be made based on different clinical manifestations. For example, diabetes mellitus will have abnormal blood sugar and urine sugar tests, and organic brain lesions should have localized symptoms and signs.

The above are the reasons for excessive sweating. There are many reasons mainly caused by physical diseases. At the same time, the results caused by different diseases are also different. In life, we must promptly treat and diagnose. At the same time, such symptoms are mainly caused by infectious diseases and some organic lesions. In terms of protection, we must prevent some harm of primary diseases to this disease.
