The pain when a man shaves is actually a sign of illness

A healthy male has an average of 385 beard hairs for every 6.45 square centimeters on his cheeks. These hairs grow at a rate of about 2.5 centimeters every 8 weeks. It is because of this rapid growth rate that shaving becomes a daily necessity for men. However, if the beard grows back into the skin after encountering the razor, it will cause a foreign body reaction on the skin and cause small pustules to form. These troubles are mainly caused by incorrect shaving methods.

Most men mistakenly believe that shaving their cheeks until they are as smooth as a baby's skin is the best way to get them together. This behavior causes "razor bumps" because only very short beards can grow back into the skin. The cleaner the shave, the easier it is for very short beards to grow back into the skin, causing unbearable pain.

Change your shaving technique

Before shaving:

Wash your face thoroughly to avoid irritation or skin injury caused by the razor, which may cause infection. Applying shaving cream can not only lubricate your beard, but also reduce the direct damage of the razor to your face. The soft badger hair brush can retain moisture like a sponge and fully moisturize the shaving cream into the skin.

When shaving:

Properly tightening the skin can not only reduce the resistance of the razor, but also prevent the skin from being broken. Facial beards grow in different directions. First of all, you should understand the texture of the beard and shave in the order from left to right and from top to bottom, first along the pores and then against the pores. This will allow the shaving cream more time to soften the hardest part of the short beard. Shaving against the grain can reduce redness, swelling and pain.

After shaving:

After washing with warm water, apply aftershave. From a medical point of view, aftershave is not necessary, but some ingredients in aftershave can shrink pores and make people feel refreshed and moisturized, so you might as well choose an aftershave that does not contain alcohol.
