Cover your head and sleep. Covering your head in the quilt will make you feel warmer, but the oxygen in the quilt will become less and less, while carbon dioxide and unclean gases will accumulate more and more. Therefore, people who sleep with their head covered will feel groggy and weak after waking up. Wash your face with hot water. In winter, the sweat glands and capillaries on the human face are contracted under the stimulation of cold air. When it encounters hot water, it expands rapidly, but after the heat dissipates, it returns to its low temperature state. The expansion and contraction of capillaries can easily cause wrinkles on the face.

Drink to keep warm. After drinking, you feel hot all over. This is the result of alcohol prompting the body to release its original heat energy. After the effect of alcohol wears off, a large amount of heat is dissipated from the body, causing goose bumps all over the body, leading to a feeling of cold after drinking. 

Frozen hands and feet are roasted over fire. In winter, our hands and feet are exposed to the elements for a long time, which causes blood vessels to constrict and blood flow to decrease. At this time, if you use fire to bake it immediately, it will paralyze the blood vessels and lose their contraction force, causing arterial congestion, capillary dilation, increased permeability, and local congestion. Mild cases cause frostbite, while severe cases cause tissue necrosis. Therefore, frozen hands and feet can only be rubbed gently to slowly restore them to normal temperature.

Scratching itchy skin. When you feel itchy all over your body due to dryness in winter, you must not scratch it with your hands, otherwise it is easy to scratch the skin and cause secondary infection. The prevention and treatment methods are to drink more water, eat more fresh vegetables and fruits, eat less sour and spicy foods, and drink less strong alcohol. Take a bath and change your underwear frequently. If the itching is severe, you can take drugs such as chlorpheniramine and phenergan, or apply some calamine lotion or skin relaxing ointment for treatment.
