What causes no ovulation?

What causes no ovulation?

Ovulation mainly refers to the mature follicle developing to a certain extent, and finally rupturing through a series of steps and being discharged from the ovary. This is called ovulation. However, in some cases, women will not ovulate. This makes many female friends who want to get pregnant very anxious. They don’t know what causes the non-ovulation. So, what causes the non-ovulation? Let’s take a brief look at it!

1. Dysfunction of the hypothalamus-pituitary-ovarian axis. Causes anovulatory menstruation and amenorrhea. Mental factors such as mental stress or excessive anxiety, anger, sadness and other negative emotions can lead to brain dysfunction causing anovulation or abnormal ovulation, or anovulation caused by Sheehan's syndrome and hyperprolactinemia.

2. Systemic diseases such as severe malnutrition or lack of certain important nutritional factors in the diet can affect ovarian function and cause infertility. Chronic diseases and metabolic diseases such as hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism, diabetes, adrenal dysfunction, etc. can also lead to infertility.

3. Medication: Taking certain medications, such as long-acting steroid injection contraceptives, disrupts the interaction between the brain and ovaries, suppresses ovulation and prevents pregnancy. There is some evidence that the longer this method of contraception is used, the greater the likelihood of developing amenorrhea.

4. Ovarian diseases: including congenital ovarian dysgenesis, polycystic ovary syndrome, premature ovarian failure, ovarian tumors, etc.

5. Follicular hypoplasia. Poor follicular development can lead to anovulation. Blockage of the fallopian tubes can also cause the egg to be released.

The above is an introduction to the reasons for non-ovulation. Women who want to get pregnant must pay attention to the above reasons. The above reasons will seriously affect women’s ovulation ability, so you must pay attention. During the ovulation period, you should also pay attention to supplementing nutrition and avoid eating too much spicy, greasy and other irritating foods.
