What are the methods for preserving red wine

We all know that the shelf life of red wine is very short. Many people do not pay much attention to this knowledge, which leads to the expiration of red wine. We must know more about the preservation methods of red wine to extend the shelf life of red wine, so that we can drink it whenever we want in the future, and it is also convenient for more people to store it. So, how do we choose the storage method of red wine in normal times? '

After opening the red wine, the air in the wine bottle should be pumped out and the wine should be stored in a light-proof sealed container at a constant low temperature. It can slow down the loss of wine aroma and reduce the time it takes to deteriorate.

1. Oxygen in the air. It is the enemy of wine preservation. Once oxygen comes into full contact with the wine, the alcohol will be converted into acetic acid, causing the wine to become sour and deteriorate. Therefore, after opening, the wine must be sealed and the air in the container must be removed. If you don't want to buy a vacuum device and have no way to expel the air from the storage container, there is another way: put the unfinished wine in small bottles.

2. Storage temperature. On the one hand, the best storage temperature is 10-14° (the best storage temperature for different wines is different). On the other hand, the temperature variation range that wine can withstand is very small. Therefore, room temperature is not suitable for preserving opened wine. The temperature difference between day and night is large, and the optimal storage temperature varies greatly in different seasons.

3. Other storage conditions. If you cannot place the wine in direct sunlight, you need to maintain appropriate humidity. If you can only store it at room temperature, you should place it in a well-ventilated place. It is worth mentioning that when storing wine, the bottle should be tilted, placed horizontally, or upside down. The purpose is to allow the wine to come into contact with the cork. This way the cork will become moistened and expand, preventing air from entering and truly achieving a sealing effect. Of course, no matter how good a storage method you use, wine will not last long after it is opened. So try to finish it if you can, it usually takes more than a week to open. We should give it up. Or use it for other purposes, such as cooking or making facial masks.

Only by mastering the method of preserving red wine can we preserve our red wine for a longer time. We must not ignore this aspect, otherwise our red wine may not be drinkable, or we may be poisoned, have stomachache, diarrhea, etc. after drinking it. We must choose a good storage method for red wine to make it last longer. .
