What causes genital herpes? It turns out to be these 5 reasons

Herpes is a common skin disease in daily life and is highly contagious, so skin contact should be avoided when coming into contact with herpes patients to avoid infection. However, recently many patients have been told by doctors that they have genital herpes. What causes this? In fact, there are 5 factors in daily life that can cause genital herpes.

Herpes is a common skin disease that is usually spread through skin-to-skin contact. Herpes can occur at the corners of the mouth (oral herpes), on the genitals (genital herpes), or elsewhere on the body (non-genital herpes). Herpes simplex virus type 1 is one of the causes of herpes on the lips or face. Herpes can be spread through kissing and can also be spread to the genitals through direct skin contact during oral sex. Herpes simplex virus type 2 is the virus that causes genital herpes and is spread through sexual contact.

What causes herpes? What causes genital herpes? Experts say: Genital herpes is a sexually transmitted disease that is mainly transmitted through sex, of course there are some indirect causes.

1. Blood infection: Blood infection is caused by intravenous injection or blood transfusion. The main reasons are that the patient enters a small clinic with incomplete medical equipment, simple medical facilities, irregular doctor behavior, or a black clinic for treatment, or receives a blood transfusion for personal purposes.

2. Sexual infection: Most of the infections are caused by abnormal sexual life between men and women. When a healthy person has sexual intercourse with a person with a sexually transmitted disease, the pathogens are transmitted to the other person due to the friction of their genitals.

3. Contact infection: When a healthy person comes into contact with a patient's damaged skin, diseased mucous membrane or secretions, he or she may become infected.

4. Airborne transmission: This is mainly because herpes simplex virus type I can be mixed in the saliva droplets of patients with oral herpes, suspended in the air, and inhaled into the respiratory tract by normal people to cause infection; if a healthy person kisses a patient, they may be directly infected; if a patient performs oral sex on a healthy person, the virus in the lip ulcers can also be transmitted to the other person's genitals.

5. Mother-to-child transmission: Pregnant women with primary or recurrent herpes may transmit the virus to the fetus. One is direct transmission during vaginal delivery, the transmission rate (i.e. the infection rate of the fetus) is 50% in primary herpes and 8% in recurrent herpes. The reason why the latter has a low probability of being infected is that the mother already has antibodies that can protect the fetus and reduce its chance of infection. Another way of transmission is through blood. When a pregnant woman carries the virus, the virus in the blood can enter the fetus through the placenta.

The above content is about the introduction of "What causes herpes?" Experts kindly remind you: If you find symptoms of genital herpes, you should go to a regular large hospital for examination and diagnosis as soon as possible. Don't have too much burden in your heart, maintain a good mood, and achieve early prevention, early detection, and early treatment. This is the basis for maintaining health.
