What is the cause of stomach acid after meals?

If the symptoms of stomach acid after meals are more obvious, then you should pay attention to whether it is caused by gastritis or duodenal ulcer. It is best to go to the hospital for a comprehensive examination. Only after the cause is determined can you receive correct treatment and reduce the impact of these gastrointestinal problems.

1. It may be gastritis or duodenal ulcer. It is best to do a gastroscopy to confirm it, and an abdominal B-ultrasound examination to check the liver and gallbladder. It is now believed that gastric disease is transmitted by Helicobacter pylori through the digestive tract. If Helicobacter pylori infection is confirmed (by gastroscopy and aspiration of gastric fluid), it is recommended to use quadruple therapy for gastritis under the guidance of a local doctor: The most commonly used quadruple therapy is as follows: drug combination, dosage and usage:

2. Potassium bismuth citrate 240 mg + amoxicillin 750 mg + metronidazole 400 mg + omeprazole 20 mg or (2) Potassium bismuth citrate 240 mg + erythromycin 500 mg + metronidazole 400 mg + omeprazole 20 mg (3) Potassium bismuth citrate 240 mg + tetracycline 500 mg + metronidazole 400 mg + omeprazole 20 mg. Take any of the above drugs twice a day. Take each drug twice a day at the above dose (once in the morning and once in the afternoon). One course of treatment is 7 to 14 days. After one course of treatment, continue to take potassium bismuth citrate alone for 6 weeks. The dosage and usage are the same as before. Note that amoxicillin requires a skin test.

3. This plan can kill Helicobacter pylori and protect the gastric mucosa. Take it consistently to prevent recurrence. Be sure to abstain from smoking, alcohol, coffee and spicy food. Eat less starchy foods such as potatoes, taro, vermicelli, sweet potatoes, jelly, etc. Eat small meals frequently and at regular times. Do not eat foods that are too hard or indigestible.
