Introduction to the five major symptoms of ulcerative proctitis

The number of patients with gastrointestinal diseases in my country has increased year by year, and gastrointestinal problems have gradually become a problem of widespread social concern. Ulcerative proctitis is a relatively common gastrointestinal disease. Because it is a severe disease, the earlier it is discovered, the greater the effect of treatment and recovery. If you have suspected symptoms of ulcerative proctitis, you should go to the hospital for consultation as soon as possible without hesitation.

1. The most special symptom of ulcerative colitis is diarrhea: it is caused by inflammatory stimulation that increases intestinal motility and impaired absorption of water and sodium in the intestinal cavity. The severity of diarrhea varies. In mild cases, patients may have diarrhea 3-4 times a day, or diarrhea and constipation may occur alternately. In severe cases, the number of bowel movements may be as many as 30 times a day. The feces are mostly pasty and watery, mixed with mucus, pus and blood. If the lesions involve the rectum, there will be tenesmus.

2. The most special symptom of ulcerative colitis is abdominal pain: there may be no abdominal pain in mild cases and during the remission period of the disease, or there may be mild to moderate dull pain, a few colic, mostly limited to the left lower abdomen and lower abdomen, or the whole abdomen may be painful. The pain is often spasmodic in nature, with a pattern of pain followed by the urge to defecate and relief after defecation, often accompanied by abdominal distension.

3. The most special symptoms of ulcerative colitis, other symptoms: severe cases may include loss of appetite, nausea and vomiting.

4. The most special symptoms and signs of ulcerative colitis are: mild patients have mild tenderness in the left lower abdomen, and some patients can feel spasm or thickening of the intestinal wall in the sigmoid colon or descending colon. Severe and fulminant cases may have obvious distension, abdominal muscle tension, abdominal tenderness and rebound pain.

5. The most special symptom of ulcerative colitis is bloody and pus in the stool: the abdominal pain is located in the left lower abdomen, the pain is not severe, diarrhea is mostly loose stools, or unformed stools, and watery diarrhea is rare. Bloody and pus in the stool often contains mucus, so it is also called mucopurulent and bloody stool. Pus, blood and mucus are mixed together and the blood is darker in color.
