What is the function of sodium bicarbonate

Sodium bicarbonate, also known as baking soda, is a white, fine crystal. Its solubility in water is lower than that of sodium carbonate. Sodium bicarbonate is a weak alkaline substance. In fact, in daily life, it plays a wide range of roles. Let us introduce it in detail below.

(1) Enhance the degreasing function of dishwashing liquid

Adding two tablespoons of baking soda to diluted dishwashing liquid water can help remove grease from pots, pans, and dishes. If there are hard-to-clean food residues on the utensils, soak them in baking soda/dishwashing liquid water first, then use a sponge dipped in dry baking soda powder and gently scrub them to remove them.

(II) Remove odors from refrigerator and freezer compartments
