What are the folk remedies for treating epilepsy?

The occurrence of epilepsy will have a great impact on the patient and the family, so treatment is of course essential. In addition to basic treatment control, you can also try some folk remedies. The following are some methods of treating epilepsy with folk remedies.

1. Vole therapy: This method was once widely used to treat epilepsy in rural areas of China. The raw materials can be obtained from sweet potato gardens or wheat gardens. There are usually 6 to 12 small voles in a litter that have not opened their eyes. After they are caught, they can be soaked in 1 jin of rice wine and drunk in small amounts after 1 month. At present, vole wine is still being sold in the ethnic minority areas of Guangxi, and several small voles can be clearly seen in each bottle of wine. Another way is to scald the field mouse to death, dry it and grind it into powder, taking 1 qian of it each time.

2. Ginger Glutinous Rice Ball Therapy: What are the current folk remedies for treating epilepsy? Ingredients: Use 2500g of fresh ginger to make juice, soak 2500g of glutinous rice in the ginger juice until the ginger juice is completely absorbed by the glutinous rice, then grind the glutinous rice into powder, make glutinous rice balls, add a small amount of brown sugar, use about 1 tael of glutinous rice flour each time, once a month without interruption until it is finished.

3. 12 grams of raw Cassia seed, 6 grams of Gastrodia elata, 2 centipedes, 10 grams of Curcuma aromatica, 5 grams of Red Flos Southernis, 6 grams of Acorus calamus, 6 grams of Bombyx batryticatus, 5 grams of Coptis chinensis, 10 grams of Shenqu, 10 grams of Morus alba, 3 grams of scorpion, and 1.2 grams of cinnabar (divided into two parts). Take it in decoction, 1 dose per day.

4. 2 packs of sheep brain, 15 grams of Gastrodia elata, 30 grams of yam, and appropriate amounts of salt, pepper and lard. Remove the fascia from the sheep brain, cook it with Gastrodia elata and yam, add salt, cornstarch and lard for seasoning and eat it in 1 to 2 servings.

At present, there are countless folk remedies for treating epilepsy, but only a handful of them can really work. Therefore, for the treatment of epilepsy, it is better not to trust folk remedies easily. Only the correct treatment method that meets the needs of the body can ultimately work.
