As urban smog becomes increasingly severe, the incidence of various respiratory diseases has generally increased, indirectly leading to the aggravation of interstitial pulmonary fibrosis problems. In order to resist interstitial pulmonary fibrosis, in addition to improving the quality of living air, we must also pay special attention to our diet, so as to improve both inside and outside and do a good job in preventing interstitial pulmonary fibrosis. What should we pay attention to in diet for interstitial pneumonia? (1) Patients with interstitial pneumonia should pay attention to dietary taboos and try to eat less spicy, fried and other irritating and greasy foods. Their daily diet should be light, especially for obese patients, the fat intake should be low. It is better to eat lean meat to achieve the purpose of removing phlegm and dampness and properly controlling weight. Spicy, fried and other foods can easily produce phlegm, which leads to heat helping the evil to prevail. The evil heat is trapped inside the body and cannot be relieved. Over time, it can cause severe fever to attack the lungs and worsen the condition. (2) Drink plenty of water. Patients with interstitial pneumonia cannot be dehydrated because they breathe through their mouths, sweat a lot, and eat little, which often causes them to lose water and make their sputum thick and difficult to cough up. Therefore, timely replenishment of water and increased fluid intake are very important for correcting or preventing water loss. Therefore, patients should be encouraged to drink more water; if the patient is unable to eat, intravenous fluid replacement can be used, which helps to dilute the sputum and promote the discharge of viscous sputum. Patients with heart failure should drink water in moderation. (3) Do not eat foods that may cause allergies or trigger asthma, and pay attention to dietary taboos. The so-called "dietary taboo" means avoiding "irritating foods". "Irritating foods" generally refer to foods that can cause a relapse of old diseases or aggravate new diseases after consumption. The scope of “irritating foods” is very broad and varies from patient to patient. For example, some people with allergies often experience worsening coughing and wheezing after eating seafood such as fish, shrimp, and crab. Therefore, patients with pulmonary fibrosis should reasonably "avoid certain foods" according to their actual conditions. This can not only avoid worsening cough and wheezing due to careless diet, but also prevent the body's absorption of various nutrients from being affected due to excessive attention to "avoiding certain foods". (4) Patients with interstitial pneumonia must pay more attention to their diet. Patients can be given soft or semi-liquid food, which can alleviate the chewing and swallowing difficulties caused by shortness of breath, facilitate digestion and absorption, and prevent food reflux. |
