What treatment is given for aortic atherosclerosis

Aortic atherosclerosis is very harmful, and its early symptoms are not prominent, so it is easy to be ignored. Therefore, once you are diagnosed with aortic atherosclerosis, whether it is in the early stages or not, you should not take it lightly. You should cooperate with the treatment as required by the hospital as soon as possible and make preparations for all kinds of treatments.

1. Encourage the patient's subjective initiative to cooperate with treatment. Objective evidence has shown that the disease can be controlled through prevention and treatment, the lesions may partially disappear, the patient can maintain a certain level of life and work ability, and the lesions themselves can promote the formation of arterial collateral circulation, thereby improving the condition. Therefore, it is crucial to persuade patients to patiently accept long-term prevention and treatment measures.

2. Arrange work and life reasonably. Live a regular life, maintain an optimistic and happy mood, avoid excessive fatigue and emotional excitement, pay attention to the combination of work and rest, and ensure adequate sleep.

3. It is recommended not to smoke, drink strong alcohol or drink a lot of alcohol (drinking a small amount of low-concentration alcohol can increase blood HDL).

4. Actively treat diseases related to this disease, such as hypertension, adipose tissue, hyperlipidemia, gout, diabetes, liver disease, nephrotic syndrome and related endocrine diseases.

5. Reasonable diet ⑴ The total calorie intake of the diet should not be too high, so as to maintain a normal body weight. People over 40 years old should especially prevent obesity. A simple calculation method for normal weight is: height (cm) minus 110 = weight (kg), which can be used as a reference. ⑵ Those who exceed the normal standard weight should reduce the total calorie intake per day, eat a low-fat (fat intake should not exceed 30% of total calories, of which animal fat should not exceed 10%) and low-cholesterol (not more than 500 mg per day) diet, and limit the intake of sucrose and sugary foods. ⑶ Even if people over 40 years old do not have high blood lipids, they should avoid consuming too much animal fat and vegetable oil containing saturated fatty acids, such as: fatty meat, lard, bone marrow, cream and its products, coconut oil, cocoa butter, etc.; avoid eating too much food with high cholesterol, such as: liver, brain, kidney, lung and other internal organs, squid, oysters, cuttlefish, fish roe, shrimp roe, crab roe, egg yolk, etc. If blood lipids continue to rise, you should eat low-cholesterol, low-animal fat foods, such as: various lean meats, chicken, duck, fish, protein, soy products, etc.

6. Appropriate physical labor and sports activities Participating in certain physical labor and sports activities is beneficial to preventing obesity, exercising the function of the circulatory system and adjusting blood lipid metabolism. It is an active measure to prevent this disease. Physical activity should be determined based on original physical condition, original physical activity habits and heart function status, with the principle of not increasing excessive burden on the heart and not causing discomfort. Physical activities can be started gradually, and it is not advisable to force yourself to do strenuous activities. It is recommended that the elderly take a walk (one hour a day, in several sessions), do health exercises, and practice Tai Chi.
