What are the symptoms of lymphoma

Lymphoma poses a serious threat to our life and health, so we need to pay attention to timely understanding of the symptoms of lymphoma so that we can detect it in time, take timely treatment measures, and reduce the harm it causes to human health.

Symptom 1: Painless enlargement of lymph nodes throughout the body

More than 60% of lymphoma patients will experience painless swelling of their lymph nodes in the early stages of the disease. Therefore, this symptom always appears silently. Although patients may occasionally find that their lymph nodes seem to have become larger, they often ignore it because of the lack of pain and other discomfort. At first, swollen lymph nodes only appear in the neck, but as time goes by, the symptoms of swollen lymph nodes will appear in the armpits, groin, etc. Therefore, if patients find that the lymph nodes in their neck are swollen for no reason, they must be vigilant and go to the hospital for examination as soon as possible.

Symptom 2: Don’t confuse the early symptoms of lymphoma with the common cold

The early symptoms of lymphoma patients are not necessarily swollen lymph nodes in the neck, but some symptoms similar to those of a cold, such as fever, cough, sweating, shortness of breath or rapid breathing. Because these symptoms resemble the common cold, they are easily taken lightly. However, one thing that needs to be remembered is that if it is a common cold, the body's immune system will regulate itself, or the body will gradually recover to a healthy state after taking cold medicine. However, if the cold-like symptoms are caused by lymphoma, they may recur, or the medicine may be completely ineffective.

Symptom 3: Patients have lesions in the spleen and liver

After being diagnosed with lymphoma, more than 60% of patients will experience enlarged spleen and liver. Some patients' livers may be affected by lymphoma, and in addition to swelling, they may also experience symptoms such as pain and jaundice. However, in most patients, only the spleen and liver will be enlarged, which will not affect the patient's liver function, so it is easy for patients to ignore it. Therefore, we should do regular physical examinations on a daily basis.
