Metabolism is actually the general term for all orderly chemical changes in living organisms. Only the normal operation of metabolism can maintain our life activities. If you want to promote metabolism, you can scientifically improve your diet through some foods, such as onions, corn, kelp, etc.

1. Metabolism is the general term for all orderly chemical changes in organisms , among which the chemical changes are generally carried out under the catalysis of enzymes. It includes two aspects: material metabolism and energy metabolism. The exchange of matter and energy between organisms and the external environment and the transformation of matter and energy within organisms are called metabolism. The relationship between assimilation, dissimilation, material metabolism and energy metabolism in metabolism can be summarized by the table on the right.

2. Humans and animals cannot carry out photosynthesis like green plants , nor can they carry out chemosynthesis like nitrifying bacteria. They can only rely on the intake of ready-made organic matter in the external environment to maintain their own life activities. This type of metabolism is heterotrophic.

Onions not only have bactericidal functions, but can also lower human blood lipids, prevent arteriosclerosis, activate the active ingredients of fibrin, effectively prevent the formation of blood clots in blood vessels, and have a good antihypertensive effect on the human body.

4. Corn

Corn is rich in calcium, selenium, lecithin, vitamin E, etc., and has the effect of lowering serum cholesterol.

5. Kelp

Kelp is rich in taurine, which can lower cholesterol in the blood and bile. The dietary fiber alginate contained in kelp can inhibit the absorption of cholesterol.

6. Garlic

Garlic contains a mixture of sulfides that can reduce blood cholesterol, prevent blood clots, and help increase high-density lipoprotein levels.

7. Apple

Apples are rich in potassium, which can excrete excess potassium salts from the body and maintain normal blood pressure.

8. Milk

Milk contains more calcium, which can inhibit the activity of cholesterol synthase in the human body and reduce the absorption of cholesterol in the body.
