Causes of genital ulcers

Causes of genital ulcers

Generally speaking, genital ulcers are mostly caused by viral infection. If genital ulcers are not treated in time, the virus may enter the body through the urethra, which will cause greater harm to the body, so everyone must pay attention to this disease.

The causes of genital ulcers: First, genital herpes, chancroid, syphilis, lymphogranuloma venereum, etc., which are relatively common sexually transmitted diseases characterized by genital ulcers; second, trauma or abrasions, pyoderma, drug rash, skin tuberculosis, malignant tumors, etc.; third, infection caused by pathogens such as scabies, Trichomonas, pubic lice, amoebic dysentery protozoa, mycoplasma, and gonococci. Regardless of the cause of genital ulcers, they have their own specific manifestations.

1. Infection: It has been reported that this disease is related to acute and chronic viral infections, bacterial infections such as streptococcus and tuberculosis, and autoimmune abnormalities caused by them. For example, according to relevant domestic reports, one-third of patients with this disease have had tuberculosis in the past or are currently suffering from tuberculosis. Some patients have not only been cured of tuberculosis after tuberculosis treatment, but also have

2 Genetic factors: Genital ulcers have a regional tendency to occur, such as being more common in countries along the Mediterranean coast.

3 Trace elements: The content of various trace elements in the patient's lesion tissue increases, such as organochlorine, organophosphorus and copper ions. Some people have also found that the deficiency of certain trace elements such as zinc and selenium may be related to genital ulcers.

4 Immune abnormalities: Autoantibodies such as anti-oral mucosal antibodies and anti-arterial wall antibodies are present in the patient's serum. The positive rate of immune complexes in the serum reaches 60% and is related to the activity of the disease. The patient's immunoglobulin is elevated and the lymphocyte ratio is unbalanced. Substances related to the immune response, such as lymphocyte immunoglobulin and complement, can be seen in lesions around blood vessels, cerebrospinal fluid, and blood vessel walls, indicating that genital ulcers are closely related to immune disorders.
