There are a lot of small red bumps on my neck. What are the reasons?

Having a lot of small red bumps on the neck can make us very worried. First of all, we need to find the cause. Common ones include filiform warts, fat particles, irregular diet, preference for spicy food, skin allergies, folliculitis and other factors.

1. Filiform warts

If the surface of the small fleshy bumps is mainly brown or light brown, and they are slender, soft, and pedunculated growths, with the number ranging from a few to hundreds, they should be considered to be filiform warts. Filiform warts are a viral infection caused by human papillomavirus (HPV) and are more common in women. Filiform warts are small, thread-like growths that occur on the superficial surface of the skin, commonly known as thread warts. This type of neck pimple is common on the eyelids, neck, chin and scalp. The rash is a single, soft, thread-like protrusion that is skin-colored or light brown, like a small nail standing upside down on the skin surface. Filiform warts generally attack middle-aged and elderly people over 40 years old because their resistance is relatively poor. In addition, some people with immune deficiencies or patients who use immunosuppressants and hormones for a long time are also susceptible to infection.

It may also be flat warts, which are caused by human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and are a viral infectious disease that is common in adolescents. The clinical manifestations are skin-colored or pink flat papules, which are mostly seen on the face and back of the hands. There are no obvious subjective symptoms and the course of the disease is chronic. It can be transmitted through direct or indirect contact.

2. Fat granules

Most fat particles do not require treatment, but if there are many of them and they seriously affect the patient's appearance and image, surgical treatment can be used. It is more common in young women because their skin ages quickly, metabolizes slowly, and is affected by the external environment, so they are more likely to grow fat particles.

To treat skin diseases, you should go to a regular, professional hospital or dermatology department in time, do a thorough examination to confirm the condition, and treat the disease symptomatically as much as possible based on your own condition. Do not handle it recklessly and do not take medications casually (especially those containing hormones). At the same time, do a good job of daily care and diet, so that you can strive for a speedy recovery!

3. Diet

Irregular diet and rest schedule, eating spicy, greasy, sweet, seafood and other foods, staying up late, high work pressure, etc., can all lead to endocrine disorders and cause acne. Acne during adolescence is caused by unstable hormone secretion and imbalance in the hormone ratio in the body, which leads to excessive sebum secretion and clogged hair follicles, thus forming acne.

4. Folliculitis

If you have small pimples on your neck that itch, you should consider folliculitis or inflammation of the sebaceous glands. At this time, you should avoid spicy food, eat a low-fat diet, wash frequently with hot water, and do not squeeze.

5. Allergies

Acne on the neck may be caused by allergies, which is the skin's sensitivity to external objects. If you are not sure whether it is caused by allergies or acne, you can go to the hospital for a check-up and let the doctor determine whether it is an allergy or acne.
