Rabies injection time

Rabies injection time

The timing of rabies vaccine injection must be mastered. A signature is required during the use of rabies vaccine and rabies immunoglobulin. In addition, during the vaccination process, it should be noted that the injection methods for adults and children are different. After the injection, the wound is not allowed to touch water. In the recent period, you should pay attention to improving your diet and maintaining good eating habits so that you can recover faster.

1. Before giving injections to patients, the nurse on duty should carefully read the notice on "Rabies Exposure Prevention and Treatment Work Specifications (2009 Edition)" issued by the Ministry of Health and the Informed Consent Form for the Use of Rabies Vaccine and Rabies Immunoglobulin.

2. Two copies of the informed consent form for the use of rabies vaccine and rabies immunoglobulin should be made, one copy should be given to the family member and one copy should be kept by the department. Please fill out the informed consent form according to the requirements for each injection. The vaccinating nurse should sign and the vaccination date should be the date of the day.

3. Injection site of human rabies vaccine: ⑴ Injection into the deltoid muscle of the upper arm. ⑵Infants under 2 years old can be injected into the anterolateral thigh muscle. ⑶Buttock injection is prohibited.

4. Rabies immunoglobulin injection site:

⑴ After wound treatment, wound infiltration injection should be performed first (the dosage is strictly calculated according to body weight). If there is any remaining passive immunization agent, it should be injected into the muscle away from the vaccine injection site.

⑵ When the exposed parts are on the head, face, upper limbs, and trunk above the chest, the remaining passive immunization preparation can be injected into the back muscle group (such as the trapezius muscle) on the same side of the exposed part, and the rabies vaccine can be administered on the opposite side.

⑶ When the exposed parts are the lower limbs and the trunk below the chest, the remaining passive immunization preparation can be injected into the lateral thigh muscles on the same side of the exposed part.

5. If passive immunization preparations are not used on the day of rabies vaccination, passive immunization preparations can still be injected within 7 days (including 7 days) after the first dose of rabies vaccine.

6. Passive immunization agents and rabies vaccine syringes must not be placed in the same location.

7. It is prohibited to inject rabies vaccine and passive immunization preparation with the same syringe.

8. Rabies vaccine and anti-rabies serum/rabies immunoglobulin are voluntary vaccinations that citizens must receive at their own expense.

9. The patient should stay in the hospital for observation for 30 minutes after vaccination. If a mild reaction occurs, it generally does not require special treatment. You can go to the hospital for diagnosis and treatment if necessary.

10. Avoid fatigue, drinking large amounts of alcohol, drinking strong tea, eating stimulating foods, and engaging in strenuous exercise after vaccination.

11. When a certain injection is delayed for one day or several days, the time of subsequent injections will be postponed accordingly according to the interval time of the original immunization program after the delay.
