The lips are a part of the human body. The mouth rarely has disease problems, but it is quite common to have spots on it. Because the skin on the lips is relatively sensitive, if spots occur, timely treatment is sufficient. However, there are many ways to remove spots now, so be careful to choose a good one. What are the red spots on lips? Oral mucosal disease is a general term for many types of diseases that occur in the oral mucosa and soft tissue injuries. It is a type of collagen disease and has a chronic development process. Generally, there are no systemic symptoms. It mainly manifests as damage to the skin and mucosa, and often occurs in the lips. The main clinical manifestations are changes in the color, shape, integrity and function of the mucosa in a certain area of the oral cavity, which often cause great pain to the patient and affect his daily life. Because some other oral diseases can cause similar symptoms to this disease, we need to distinguish the following issues. Herpetic stomatitis This disease often occurs in the keratinized layer and areas with poor keratinization. It initially appears as very fine red spots accompanied by a burning discomfort, and the lesions gradually expand into shallow ulcers. As the disease progresses, the number of ulcers will increase significantly and be scattered in the poorly keratinized mucosa. The patient's pain will intensify. The clinical symptoms at this stage are very similar to herpetic stomatitis, which can easily lead to misdiagnosis. Erythema multiforme This disease is an acute infectious mucosal and skin lesion, manifested as various forms of erythematous lesions on the skin. This lesion can develop from scattered papules to erythema, which is bright red at first and then gradually turns into dark red. The patient's skin damage usually only causes discomfort such as burning and itching, but the damage to the oral mucosa is more serious, with large areas of erosion distributed in a wide area such as the lips, cheeks and tongue, accompanied by severe pain. In addition to the above-mentioned damages, uneven blood scabs and yellow-brown pus scabs will also appear on the lips. These clinical manifestations are also seen in the erosive process of diseases such as discoid lupus erythematosus, so we need to pay special attention to them. We have introduced the situation of erythema on the lips above. Some friends have found black spots on the red lips and cheek mucosa. What's going on? In fact, these are generally physiological black spots, which appear as flat, light black and relatively uniform spots, distributed in a front-to-back band on the cheek mucosa; on the red lips, there are mostly freckle-like spots, and their sizes and numbers vary. If you find that the dark spots on your face are like this, don't worry too much. |
