What are the symptoms of hypertensive nephropathy?

More and more people around us are suffering from high blood pressure. We should not ignore the harm of high blood pressure. If we do not control our blood pressure in time, it is easy to cause hypertensive nephropathy. Patients will have foamy and dark urine and get up frequently at night. We need to check and confirm the diagnosis in time.

1. Symptoms of hypertensive nephropathy

1: There is a lot of foam in the urine. It won’t disappear for a long time. It means that more protein is excreted in the urine.

2: Urine changes color. When the urine is dark tea color, meat washing water color, soy sauce color, or turbid like rice washing water.

3: Too much or too little urine. The average urine volume of a normal person is 1500 ml per day, 4-8 times a day. If you do not have a fever, sweat a lot, or drink a lot of water, and your urine volume suddenly decreases or increases, you should go to the hospital for a check-up to see if it is a kidney disease.

4: Nocturia. Normal people under 60 years old should not have nocturia. If young people have increased nocturia, it may be an early sign of poor kidney function.

5: Edema. Nephrologists point out that swelling of the eyelids or face after getting up in the morning usually subsides in the afternoon, worsens after fatigue, and eases after rest. Severe edema may occur on the inner sides of the ankles, lower limbs, lumbar region, etc.

6: Low back pain. For back pain without a clear cause, you should check your kidneys, spine, and back muscles.

2. Generally, the main causes of high blood pressure are:

1. Weather factors: As the weather gets cooler, the blood vessels in the skin and subcutaneous tissue contract, causing the peripheral vascular resistance to increase, thereby causing high blood pressure.

2. Weight and obesity factors: Weight gain is not only a factor that causes obesity, but also a risk factor for high blood pressure. The fatter you are, the greater the risk of developing hypertension.

3. High-salt diet factor: The salt content in the Chinese diet is higher than that of Western people. In northern my country, each person consumes 12 to 18 grams of salt per day; in southern China, each person consumes about 8 grams of salt per day. In addition to high salt content, my country's diet also tends to be low in potassium, calcium and animal protein. Therefore, a high-sodium diet is the main cause of high blood pressure, while a low-potassium, low-calcium and low-animal protein diet will aggravate the adverse effects of high sodium on blood pressure.

What are the symptoms of hypertensive nephropathy? Regarding this issue, many people always think that symptoms will appear if they suffer from hypertensive nephropathy. In fact, this is not the case. As can be seen from the above, for the symptoms of hypertensive nephropathy, patients with hypertensive nephropathy often have no obvious clinical manifestations of kidney damage in the early stages. Once clinical manifestations appear, kidney lesions have reached a very serious degree. Therefore, the symptoms of hypertensive nephropathy must be treated objectively and treatment should not be delayed because of this. I wish you a speedy recovery!
