How to effectively treat high alkaline phosphatase?

The treatment of high alkaline phosphatase first requires the identification of the cause. If you do not know the cause, it is recommended that you go to the hospital for relevant examinations. Diseases such as rickets, bone malignancies, liver cancer, and cirrhosis may be the cause, so symptomatic treatment is required.

1. First of all, we need to clarify the cause of high alkaline phosphatase. Since there are many reasons for high alkaline phosphatase, it is recommended to go to a regular hospital for B-ultrasound and other related examinations to find out the cause and treat it in time.

2. Increased alkaline phosphatase indicates bone diseases such as rickets, osteomalacia, bone malignant tumors, bone metastasis of malignant tumors, etc.; hepatobiliary diseases such as extrahepatic bile duct obstruction, liver cancer, cirrhosis, capillary cholangiohepatitis, etc.; other diseases such as hyperparathyroidism. Different approaches need to be taken according to different diseases.

3. Elevated alkaline phosphatase is mainly related to liver and gallbladder diseases, but any examination items for judging diseases are interconnected and cannot be viewed separately. If only ALP is elevated and the increase is not large, and transaminase, bilirubin, GGT, B-ultrasound, etc. are all normal, there is basically no problem. If the child's mother is positive for hepatitis B, there is a possibility that the virus will be transmitted to the child during pregnancy or delivery. If the child is also a carrier of hepatitis B virus, as long as the transaminase and bilirubin are normal and the B-ultrasound is fine, no treatment is required. It is sufficient to check liver function and B-ultrasound once every six months.

4. Hepatitis B virus carriers with normal liver function do not need any treatment. They can avoid the disease by eating a balanced diet, not staying up late, not drinking alcohol, not taking drugs that have side effects that damage the liver, and maintaining a cheerful mood. However, due to immune activation, some people may develop hepatitis after reaching a certain age, and at this time they need to take liver protection and antiviral drugs for treatment.
