Why does my ear hurt?

Generally speaking, a healthy body will not have any painful parts. If you have pain in your ears, you should pay close attention to its health. Diseases that can cause ear pain include external ear tuberculosis, external otitis, external ear fungal disease, etc.

1. Auricular diseases: auricular chondritis, auricular dermatitis and eczema, auricular erysipelas, congenital ectasia ductus infection, external ear tuberculosis, auricular hematoma.

2. External auditory canal diseases: external otitis, external auditory canal furuncle, malignant external otitis, external auditory canal fungus, external auditory canal embolism, external auditory canal cholesteatoma, external auditory canal trauma, and obstructive keratosis of the auditory canal.

Inflammation of the external ear canal is one of the causes of ear pain. Inflammation of the external ear canal is usually accompanied by a burning sensation and intense pain. The pain in the mouth will be aggravated when eating, and in severe cases, it will cause pain on the same side of the head.

The main reason for external auditory canal inflammation is that water enters the external auditory canal when bathing or swimming and is not wiped dry in time, thus beginning to corrode the skin of the external auditory canal and causing inflammation of the external auditory canal. The ear is the human body's auditory organ and is closely connected to the brain nerves. Otitis externa is a disease that can be detected promptly and strictly with our naked eyes. In severe cases, secretions will flow out. Therefore, ear pain must not be ignored. You should check whether there is secretion in the ear and clean the external auditory canal in time.

3. Middle ear diseases: bullous myringitis, acute suppurative otitis media, acute exacerbation of chronic suppurative otitis media, tympanic membrane trauma, barotraumatic otitis media, acute mastoiditis, tuberculous otitis media, and malignant tumors of the middle ear.

The main symptom of otitis media in the early stages is ear pain, and sometimes a feeling of pressure on the ear. Generally, otitis media will cause pus discharge or a significant decrease in hearing 2-3 days after the ear pain occurs.
